Had a suggestion from Soly in the Workshop which I have yet to try so I'm posting the comment here for me to refer to.

Sotek, if you put the book cover together in paint.net, then I suggest you select the Text layer that says "The Harbinger's Tale - Curses of the Mind". Open up the Layer Properties and switch the text layer from "Normal" to "Overlay". Or at least play around with the other settings if you don't like Overlay . This should let the text blend better into the worn book cover and look more natural, as opposed to looking like it's been stamped on. If it were me, I might hammer it with a purple Outline Object > Bevel Selection to see what it looks like, but that might not turn out well. less

While we're at that, why is there a white outline on the text in the book?
Awesome, Sotek. It reminds me of one of the Sixteen Accords of Madness, a really great (incomplete) series. This could easily be counted amongst them, and therefore perfect! I hope you continue these Harbinger's Tales, then publish them, leather bound,... moreAwesome, Sotek. It reminds me of one of the Sixteen Accords of Madness, a really great (incomplete) series. I just remembered it from Chapter 100-something something.
