Letter from the Archcanon I

  • Excerpt from the Songbooks of Old: Fire Under Mountain

    When the Corner comes,

    When the Sky sears,

    When the Heart is broken,

    When the Moon draws near,

The Voice of the King shall dwell in Fire,

And the Land of the King will dwell in Ash -

With the Hand of the King on the Shoulder of God,

The Spear of the King gives its final Slash

    When the Sky sears,

    When the Heart is broken,

    When the Moon draws near,

The Fire shall come from its unseen Abyss,

And the Beasts will march from the blackened Land -

With the Mage-Lords steady in their high Haven,

The Isle falls in the cold Grasp of Sand

    When the Heart is broken,

    When the Moon draws near,

The Legend of Ancients shall stop at once,

And the Reign of Ancients will end at last -

With the Magic of Ancients losing its Ground,

The Rest of the Ancients scatter fast

    And the Moon draws near.

I'll agree that it's cryptic and weird, The Unhelpful, but I'm not convinced of my poetry skills!

Did you write this?? It sounds like something Michael Kirkbride would write! O-O

Actually, I may use a table of contents. I'll see how this evolves.

It's not so much for sequencing as it is for generally having them all together, but if the tag is enough for you, so be it.

Boro, I am setting this series up as a network of completely unrelated works, where you don't have to bother reading old ones before the new ones. The tag should suffice for this.

You may want to create a table of contents to organize your work if you plan on expanding.

This is the beginning of a series of short stories and poems I will be releasing. They will have no relation to each other, aside from the fact that I will be using Consolas for all of them. It's a great font.
