Forbearance

  • Watchful eye upon the hill,

Watches over cities grand and towns small,

    Farmhouses and Jarl’s halls.

It protects the children as they play,

Guard’s eye, from shady vantage spies

All that occurs, in the city around.

As He watches over his sentries,

Smiling at the justice they bring,

    Curing Nirn of unspeakable things,

Of the filth, the disorder, that such evil creates.

Having mercy on those poor and forgotten,

And fury on the rich and corrupt.

From the lone guard to armies of righteous might,

The justice of Stendarr stays ever-watchful,

    Neither forsaking nor overbearing,

Applying justice with a level head and passionate heart.

    Through night and day,

    Rain and snow,

    Dawn and dusk,

It will feed the starving mouth,

    And punish the greedy hand.

Ever-vigilant, the watchful eye of Stendarr.

Yeah, so I totally forgot to put a note in here. This is the third poem that Lyall and I have done together with the theme of the Divines. The first two were Zenithar and some other Divine I forgot. It's always great collabing with him and feel free to go...  more

It will feed the starving mouth,
    And punish the greedy hand.
And slay a pack of werewolves for no reason... *Cries
