Freystein's Tale: Author's Interlude 1

  • (Return to: Table of Contents)

Hi, um, I'm new here. Pretty much joined to try my hand at this. I keep a running 'story' in my head with every character I play and I thought I'd try writing one down for once. I've only had Skyrim since December, and the last, and only other Elder Scrolls game I've played was that weird outlier, Redguard. Nevertheless, Skyrim has taken over all the parts of my life that work hadn't already claimed.

Forgive me if I'm not perfect with Lore. I love Lore in games, and I've been reading up voraciously, but I'm still new. Fortunately, so is Freystein, he can own my mistakes.

I'm aiming for a middle ground between a picture story and a wall-of-text story. Unfortunately, I'm not as experienced at screenshot capture as I am at longwindedness, so please bear with me while I find my way.

I'm also hoping that Freystein has a sense of humor to go along with his 'vikingr' ego, but that's up to him.

To start with, he'll be true to Viking ways of fighting: think something between Mason's Hold Guard and Paul England's Swordthane, but not really either. Where he ends up in the end... well, that's also up to him.

I'm thinking of staring another character to play alongside of Freystein to d...  more

'Ey! We're in the same new-to-skyrim boat! Though it sounds like you've got more characters than I.
