Memoirs of Mundus: Carnage Aplenty

  • Carnage Aplenty

    Ian S. McClure

    Oh, the night is young,

    The wizards are many!

    I'll sing a song—

    Before carnage aplenty!

I have been called many things,

From warrior to farmer of corn,

These days, the peasants and kings,

    They all call me 'Dragonborn'!

When I saved Whiterun from dragon attack—

It was a battle fought during the rain.

It was really a huge pain in the back—

Even if they now call me Thane!

But there is one good thing that came out of this,

a housecarl I came to call wife.

Oh, to be with her was simply bliss!

And we seemed set for life.

    But then the wizards attacked,

and my beloved left me forever.

    Enraged, I made an artifact,

With the soul they had taken from her!

Now, my sweet within the warhammer,

let us be off into the night.

For life has once again lost it's glamour,

And I'm itching for a fight.

    For the night is young,

    The wizards are many!

    I've sung this song—

    Now, carnage aplenty!

((Author's Note:)) And here we have another poem! Though it's really meant to be a song, as mentioned in the work itself. Any advice and commentaries are, of course, welcome, and thanks for reading!
