Ok, The thrill i get from finishing moves just improves the feel of the game so much, it helps to hide the hack and slash element which ruins combat at times.
one day with my dunmer i stole from a chest next to a tent.....i didnt know the hunter was behind me sitting next to the lake and he chased me, with a couple of strikes he ran away..........i hunted down the hunter  and he was crouching next to a rock. now i was about to do a finishing move i didnt even  know existed! I KICKED HIM TO THE GROUND, PLACED BOTH HANDS AT THE TOP OF THE SWORD HANDLE AND PIERCED STRAIGHT DOWN THROUGH HIS CHEST......LIKE A SHOVEL TO THE GROUND. AMAZING.
I wish bethesda would creat more of them or add a counter attack element to the game, a bit like assassins creed. it improves so much.
SOME MAY ARGUE: that rare finishing moves brings awe to the game etc.........well what if bethesda, made finishing moves more regular, and made complex finishong moves, (newly created finishing moves, longer routines) rare and within specific conditions! eg of a complex move? Â A chief bandit has been through the harsh battle and is about to be defeated. through the specific conditions.....ur character stabs through the heart and then up through the jaw........as your enemy falls to his knees he is decapitated ......or...........he is about to be finished, ur character punches his lights out, he falls back or to his knees as ur character takes a bow out...and puts two arrows through his head with the one shot.
I think the game would be enhanced with finishing moves more regular, added with more complex ones, and more varieties  ..................and...............finishing moves WITH MAGIC!
