SOLSTHEIM? - AWESOME DLC POSSIBLE EXPLANATION

  • Solstheim, sometimes spelled Soulstheim, is an island to the northwest of Vvardenfell and east of Skyrim. Despite being in the general area of Morrowind, its climate is more that of Skyrim. Unlike the other islands of Tamriel, it is not part of any province. The Empire has a small foothold at Fort Frostmoth in the warmer southern reaches of the island, and the ambitious East Empire Company has sent mining expeditions slightly further north to Raven Rock. The local Nords live in isolated tribal communities such as the Skaal, and many of them resent the outsiders' claims to the island.

Oddly, Solstheim was not on any of the older Imperial maps, suggesting its discovery by the Empire is fairly recent.Late in the Third Era, rumors spread that the Nords attempted to capture the whole of Solstheim, intended to destroy Fort Frostmoth, and that the funding ran out for the Raven Rock colony.[3]

Following the Red Year and Argonian invasion in the first century of the Fourth Era, many Dunmer fled to Solstheim from Morrowind

During the invasion of a floating city from Oblivion named Umbriel in the Fourth EraPrince Attrebus Mede, along with his companion Sul, visited Sathil, a small village on Solstheim, in search of the legendary Umbra Sword. Hleryn Sathil, the Dunmer who established the village, was once allied with House Indoril, but left the house as well as Morrowind in 4E 16.

Interestingly, this island is where the snow prince was buried/given a burial, and i have a sneaky feeling that with his inclusion in files and the glowing eyes, there might be some sort of visit to this island rediscovering him through some ritual etc.

     ** also!
The Falmer, or those monster the snow elves became, recently been attacking the surface world more than they used to. As they usually dwell underground in Dwemer structures and in Blackreach, their new boldness is unusual. Note that because of their blindness, their other senses became more acute to compensate. Maybe they sense something happening above ground that the other races cannot!?

and with vampires and pieces of garlic through the game and a possible introduction of some vampire story line included....maybe we can craft our own garlic cross bow bolts LOL kidding.

Dawnguard....vampires cant come out a dawn.....guarding the apperance of vampires? The Snow Prince was killed many years ago and buried on the island of Solstheim. This island, known as a source of many diseases, lycanthropy and vampirism just to name two. Not long after, the remaining snow elves retreated into the darkest corners of Blackreach, where the Dwemer tortured and opisoned them into Falmer. Maybe a few of them were able to retreat elsewhere, and stay safe from the dwarves. These snow elves ran under the radar for centuries. With the 4th Era upon us, these Snow Elves (or their predecessors) contracted vampirism, so they couldn’t die. Now, with the help of the Thalmor, they ressurected the Snow Prince and give him vampirism. The Falmer, the descendants of the snow elves not lucky enough to escape, sense their old master’s will. They attack the surface world, seeking vengeance on the men that drove them to near extinction. Did I mention that the Prince is going to do it with a spear?**
