Why do YOU play the Elder Scrolls games?

  • Is it because of the openness? Do you like the main quests? Side quests? Music? Characters ? Lore? What makes the Elder Scrolls unique for you?

    I think nick hit it right on the spot. What other game would one want to play. Skyrim has a believable and immersing world that captures the imagination. Skyrim is what we make of it, a template for our minds to work and enjoy themselves. Great posts everyone

    I play them because I love a game where you dont have a directive that you have to do and thats your only choice. The elder scrolls are all about freedom. Doing what you want, when you want, where you want.

    simply because you can do as you please in the game, its like grand theft auto with swords :D and who doesnt love grand theft auto? plus you can have jobs and be part of the working community... simply brilliant and packed with content !!!

    I play TES because they're too good not to play. Even people who don't typically like the fantasy genre can find something that really blows them away--and I think it's because the experience is immersive from more than just a gameplay standpoint. It's a ...  more
