Shops in Skyrim?

  • So we all know that Bethesda has made it pretty clear that you can do everything that you see NPCs do.

    Do you guys think that we will be able to own our own shops/stores? I realize that you won't be able to do absolutely everything that NPCs do, but what we see them do in towns, cities, settlements, etc, we can do.

    So what do you guys think? Would you like to own your own store? Do you think we can? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

    I haven't spent any time thinking about that, I know you can invest in shops. But own? Wouldn't that require allot of attention? But then if you had a assistant... could work! Interesting thought, guess we'll have to wait and see.

    It would be great, hope we can, and yes I'd need to hire someone to run it for me, while I rob other peoples homes :D

    That will be awesome if we could, but most likely not.
    As merchants in Elder Scrolls we have only ever been able to buy/sell from others; not setting up our own. I don't believe this will happen with Skyrim.

    I was thinking about creating a merchant-type character.  Being able to own a store would be a big plus.  If they have something like this, I hope we can hire someone to run it - I don't want to wait behind a counter all day, when I could be out gathering...  more

    Im pretty sure that Bethesda has added shops, obveously not like supermarkets but the ones like in oblivion. It would be cool if you could own your own shop and sell the stuff you find! :) But its probably not very likely...
