Suddenly Willow awoke and snapped upwards into a sitting position. The halfling was drenched in a cold sweat brought on by yet another night terror. For several weeks now the young girl was plauged with the same reoccouring dream that had created her current condition. After a few moments she slowly regained control over her rapid breathing and began taking in slow, deep breaths. Once she felt under control again she looked around the dark room. Even in the dark she was able to make out a single figure, sleeping in the same bed facing away from her.

"Dammit all..." Willow silently swore under her breath.

She quickly but quietly got out of bed as not to awaken the sleeping figure beside her. Slowly she snuck downstairs and found her way to the large doors leading outside. Stepping out into the late night darkness Willow sighed loudly taking in the cool air. Why did it seem she could never sleep even now. It had been so long since she'd forsaken the path that'd been chosen for the half-vampire. After the death of her parents she'd been taken in by a rogue group of vampires; they'd taught her how to hunt down humans for...sport? Fun? Pleasure? She wasn't sure anymore.

As Willow looked up to the moons above her in Nirn's sky she failed to notice the figure approaching behind her. Suddenly she felt pair of arms wrap around her waist.

"WHA!" she yelped in surprise as she was pulled backwards.

But it was not an attacker looking to do her harm, instead she found herself in an embrace. Willow turned her head slowly and met her gaze with a slightly taller woman. Her ice-blue eye looked caring down into her own lilac purple. The woman smiled soft at the young vampire and whispered quietly to her.

    "Another nightmare lil' sis?"

Willow's eyes felt hot, she knew what would come next. She'd tried so hard, put up so many walls, to ensure none saw her cry. But tonight those walls crumbled and she quickly turned and embraced her elder sister. Tears streamed down her face as her sister mearly held her close, tightly. The crying continued for only a few moments but the tears were those of years long past. Finally Willow's sobs slowed and became minor hiccups as she looked back up into her sister's face.

"I...I thought you were still asleep..." she weakly said a few tears lingering in her eyes.

Her sister simply smiled, "How can I sleep when my lil' sis can't? I heard you the moment you got out of bed."

Willow looked up in surprise, a hint of disappointment in her eyes that her stealth skills were becoming so rusty. Then again she was glad her sister was here now. It was the one thing that calmed her. She returned to tightly hugging her sister.

"Thank you...Sk..." she stopped herself, she didn't have to call the woman by name anymore. "Sis..."

Skyler giggled at the blush on her sister's face and rubbed a hand against her cheek.

"Don't worry lil' sis, I'm here for you. I'll never leave you." she looked at Willow with that sisterly look.

"Now, let's go back to bed. It's late."

Willow nodded and the two girls walked back into their home. Crawling back into bed Willow laid her head down on her side but was suddenly pulled back into her sister. Skyler's arms around her sister's waist loosely.

"Sweat dreams lil' sis." Skyler whispered into her sister's ear and nodded off to sleep.

It was Willow's turn to giggle at her sister. The older girl always had such an easy time falling asleep, sometimes she believed her sister could sleep through a dragon attack. Willow slowly turned around to face the older and cuddled up to her sister nuzzling her head into the crook of her Skyler's neck. Then she felt the arms around her slowly tighten their hold. With a content sigh the young girl finally found peaceful sleep once again.

A/N: I don't...I can't...honestly though I don't remember why I wrote this. I believe at the time my mind was somewhere between boredom and feeling I needed to just write SOMETHING. This story was actually something I wrote a few months ago before Christmas, so maybe it was a Christmas gift to me. Anyway, I didn't bother re-reading it but I'm sure there's something wrong with it (as there is with anything I do). Enjoy none the less (I hope), and look forward to something more soon.
