Ker...ching! Skyrim has now shipped more than 10 million copies

  • Yes, you read that right. Bethesda have announced that more than 10 million copies of Skyrim have now been shipped worldwide since its release on November 11th

Here are some of the staggering facts that have been made known in recent news stories

    • Bethesda has so far netted more than $650 million in sales income from Skyrim.
    • Skyrim sales have already outstripped the entire sales that Oblivion has gained in the 5 years since that game released.
    • Steam has announced that Skyrim is the largest selling PC game EVER on the Steam platform.
    • During November, Skyrim outsold all other PC titles by a ratio of 3 to 1.

With Game of the Year Awards showering down like confetti from gaming sites across the Web, it is clear that Bethesda is going to have a very happy Christmas this year.

One in the eye for all the 'haters' on Bethesda forums eh?

ya i agree i dont think we will ever see elderscroll game a year "i hope not at least"
but paul has a point the 5 year gap is a bit tedious maybe a 3 or perhaps 2 year gap would suffice

To be honest, I'm not sure if all this money they're bringing will actually "improve" their studio and writers. The Bethesda team are very passionate about their games and I don't believe money "holds them back" from developing anyth...  more
