Here are the PC specs...hot off the press!

    These have just been released in the last few minutes by Pete Hines on Twitter

    MINIMUM

    • Windows XP/7/Vista (32 or 64 bit),
    • Dual core 
    • 2GB RAM,
    • DX9c video card w/ 512MB RAM,
    • Internet Access for Steam activation

     

    RECOMMENDED

    • Windows XP/7,
    • Quad-core Intel/AMD CPU
    • 4GB RAM,
    • 6GB HD,
    • DX compatible sound card,
    • DX9 video card with 1GB. GTX 260/Radeon 4890 or higher

    The Minimum specs get you playing,. The recommended specs let you play on High, not on Ultra. You'll want beefier rig for that.

    Puff, your vid card basically is just a die shrink of the recommended Radeon.  It runs at the same performance level so with your lower res monitor you should be able to push better than High settings.

    hmm..... my specs are
    GPU:ATI  Radeon 5770
    CPU:AMD Phenom II 940 x4 @3.0 Ghz
    Ram: 8gigs DDR2 @1033 MHz
    Max res: 1600x900
    I hope that this will run at least on high settings at 1600x900, I'm assuming the recommended specs were...  more

    For the guys that are worried about it only being 6Gb, they apparently did a lot of work on making the game really efficient in terms of both running speed and size.

    Adman, that system should run at ultra settings.  The 570 is a really strong card, pushes about 2x the power of a GTX 260.

    Haha, yes! My specs go beyond the recommended settings! Skyrim on high and/or ultra settings, here I come!

    I wish I could upgrade right now, but I've been out of work for over a year, and the little money I have left needs to go to other things.  I'm probably just gonna have to keep what I have and hope for the best.  If it doesn't work out, at least I'll have...  more

    I have to disagree with Lanep25 on this one Eric, I don't think your system will run Skyrim at all, not playable even on the lowest settings.  I agree with him that you need both more Ram and a faster CPU, but your video card isn't even a fraction of the ...  more
