NEWS Xbox One will support Fallout 4 modding

  • Stellar news has been revealed at the Microsoft E3 Press Conference: Fallout on the Xbox One console WILL support user made mods!

    Yes, you read that correctly. People who play on Xbox One will be able to load and play mods made on the PC, for free. Isn't that amazing?

    Here is the footage from the Microsoft event. It lasts about 6 minutes, and also includes some gameplay we haven't seen before.

    And PS4 users, do not despair. When Todd Howard sat down at a later YouTube event, he explained that he hopes and expects that mods will be able to be run on PS4 as well

    So my question for you all today is whether this changes your view on Fallout 4. Are you now more excited or interested for Fallout 4 in the wake of this announcement?

    DB, if you look at link I posted above, Todd Howard clarified and said that he expects it to be on PS4 later as well
    Also that the Creation Kit won't be out until 2016, so don't expect any mods until after that

    I'm interested in the idea and it seems like a good step. It seems pretty simple at a quick glance. Should work similar to PC ...  more

    This is going to be awesome, especially when ES6 comes out!
    @Ben
    Howard already said that mods will be free, and I imagine it will be very simple to add/remove them. File size will depend on the type of mod you use but they tend to be pretty s...  more
