The Character Build Showcase: The Lamp Knight

  Here we go once again with the weekly Showcase, and this week Ben has chosen a build that had certainly slipped under my radar - The Lamp Knight by Sanctus

  The Lamp Knight is a lore based Battlemage who acts as a protector of te Mages Guild. They have a strong defense with fierce offense coming from both melee and magical attacks. He can kill you with spells or weapons while his defense is layered with heavy armor, alteration spells and a shield.

  Alteration and destruction combine in an offensive manner too. The lamp knight can see the enemy coming from far away with detect life and plan out his defenses. Once they get close he can paralyze them before they know what happened.

  If the Knight or some he protects does manage to get hurt he has his restoration skills to seal the wounds. And when every layer of defense finally does get defeated the Lamp Knight is still not killable, Avoid Death kicks in to save the day.

  This is a great character that is more than a Paladin, more than a Battlemage. Steeped deep in history and lore, he is The Lamp Knight!

  This character is completely build around roleplay! You are the sole survivor of the Order of the Lamp. Your only goal is to protect the Mage's Guild, or in Skyrim, The College of Winterhold. You must first train your skills at Jorrvaskr, before seeking out the Dark Brotherhood and Destroying them as proof of your strength. Then travel far to the northeast to the College where you will continue to grow in strength there, until you finish your training. All Necromancer's must be destroyed, they are the reason your order was formed. You are a Knight first, a mage second, show your prowess with your shield and blade and make all your enemies cower in fear at the first mention of your Order. Flesh up, cast a restoration circle, shoot your enemy with a firebolt, and whip out your sword! It's time for battle!
