Video of the Week: Ponty vs The Ebony Warrior

  • Emer has chosen Ponty's videos about his attempts to fight the Ebony Warrior on Master difficulty. It turned out to be somewhat different to what was expected!

    Ponty writes

This was my second attempt at the Ebony Warrior on Master. The first one failed since Reflect Blows kicked in and 1-shotted me. I was pretty pissed off about the fight afterwards. Hours of meticulous preparations went into preparing my character to fight the ultimate challenger, he'd be talked up by my friends so much it wasn't funny. I was expecting to be utterly destroyed, but no, I just knock him on his ass and beat him to death in 7 seconds.

There is a second part to this tale here

Hi, Ponty. I went at him many times on Master, and this was not my experience at all. I'm actually quite bewildered by the ease at which you dispatched him. May I ask your damage output?

Yep, master difficulty... if I'm not mistaken Master difficulty means you deal 50% damage and take 200% damage (compared to adept) so if I was on Novice I should have been able to kill him 4x as fast (2 hits instead of 8)...
