The Weekend Roundtable: Skyrim Collectibles

    One of the features that seems to have increasingly come into modern video gaming is the whole concept of 'collectibles'. Whether it is the ever-present 'Achievements' or 'Trophies' (depending on your platform), or whether it is in-game collectible items, they seem to be getting almost universal.

    This has created a completely new type of gamer, namely 'the completionist' - the person who wants to scour every square inch of the game world to find that last missing item to complete their collection. Perhaps you are one of them? This is a topic for you!

    So, for the Roundtable this week, I thought we'd talk about this, and particularly with regard to Skyrim.

    • Have you got the full set of Achievements/Trophies?
    • Do you bother to try to find every single item in a collectible set in Skyrim?
    • Does it bother you to have, say, 21 out of the 24 gems of Barenziah, or just you just move on?
    • Have you ever role played a 'collector' character in Skyrim?
    • Are you more or less likely to try to be a completionist in Skyrim than in other games?

    There is also a poll to go with this topic, inviting you to tell us which - if any - of the complete 'sets' you have ever managed to complete in Skyrim. This is a poll in which you can tick multiple options - just tick the boxes that you have completed!

    its achievements for me,it bothers me with any game if i play it and dont have the achievements theres a nagging feeling i get until i obtain em all.

    I have also found all pages of jiub's without a guide.. despite the fact that it took more than 5 hours..

    I have completed every thing in this game..i have a character with +1000 hours. I have done everything :p I am both a completionist and an achievement hunter :p
