Important News : The Skyrim Blog WILL continue....

    Big news to announce today people...The Skyrim Blog will not, after all, close in a couple of weeks. In fact we plan to be here for a long time to come.

    Following my announcement last week there was an outpouring of support, sadness, angst and love towards the site - and the Hosting team rallied round to offer their help in ensuring that The Skyrim Blog is able to not only to survive in the short-term, but should be able to prosper as we take in Dawnguard and move onwards towards The Elder Scrolls Online.

    Over the next couple of days I'll be making a few changes to the site, with some Hosts moving to new duties, and a couple of new features being added. Then I'll be taking a 'Sabbatical' of sorts over the next couple of months to concentrate on some ongoing family issues. I'll still be popping in to the site to validate new memberships, change the poll each week and one or two other 'housekeeping' duties, but the bulk of the day-to-day running of the site will fall to Hosts.

    One thing that will change, unfortunately, is the appearance of a 'Donate' button on the site. That's because, for the aforementioned family reasons, I'm no longer able to fund the site from my own pocket. I don't want anyone to feel obligated to cough up to pay for this site, but I will be asking that those who are willing and able to contribute to do so. Look out for this over the next day or two

    Meanwhile, I thought you'd all be interested and - hopefully - pleased to hear this news.

    Thanks to all of the Hosts for their help, and to the many, many people for their messages or posts supporting this site.

    Anyone remember this close call? I think I came across the original thread around my first week on the site and got super worried!

    I must say..this is amazing news. I was deeply sadden when i read the news of the site closing but after seeing this i must say I am ecstatic. Thanks Paul and thank you hosting team for ensuring this sites longevity. Dawnguard..here we come.

    I think I speak for many of us when I say, sincerely: WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!! As soon as i joined i saw the bulletin about it being shut down and was unfathomably sad, but NOW?! I have this stupid look plastered on my face-------->
