Announcement of important site changes

  Last week we talked about making a few changes to the site, just to freshen things up a bit. I'm now able to announce what has been put into effect. Here goes....

  GROUP CHANGES

  Skyrim Wallpaper has been deleted - you can now post wallpapers in the Skyrim Art Group so there's no need for the separate Group.

  Modders Workshop has been deleted. This doesn't seem to be an active modding community, so the Group had become moribund. But, see announcement of new group later....

  Skyrim Tabletop RPG deleted - no activity for more than three month, so project presumably dead.

  Tales from Skyrim deleted - project leader M.I.A since December, project assumed to be dead.

  Journeys from Skyrim is currently being merged into The Story Corner (name amended from Backstory Corner to reflect that fact). It will be deleted in one week.

  NEW GROUPS

  At the request of The Nexus I have created a new Group called Project Bloodstone. This Group is to help plan and create an expansion mod of that name. Nexus is leading this project, with writing and lore help from Piper Jo and Vix - and there is now the invitation for other members of this site to get involved. It's exciting to have a mod which considers The Skyrim Blog as its 'home', so if you want to get involved in any way, then join up.

  Joe Lacy has asked for a Group dedicated to previous Elder Scrolls games (Morrowind, Oblivion, Daggerfall etc). This group is called The World of Tamriel so if you want to chat about other Elder Scrolls titles then join up now.

  My thanks go to outgoing Hosts for their contribution. New Hosts will be having their relevant 'permissions' altered so that they can carry out their duties. Contact me if that hasn't happened (the method for doing this on Ning is so incredibly convoluted that its easy to get wrong!). You'll also be receiving an invite to The Elder Council Group imminently.

  The Art Group are currently running a competition for a new site banner, and once that is resolved, then I will altering the front page to include a new 'where to get started' block to help new people navigate the site a little more easily.
