    Chapter 14: The Escape

Aela, Val and J'huzho left the fort just as night was falling. But, they decided to continue to Dimhollow. They needed to find any clue they could to find Theryn. But, the most disturbing thing to Aela was Val's attitude. Since returning to Ivarstead, she lost her childish act. She put her hand on Val's shoulder.

"J'huzho, you continue. We'll catch up." said Aela. She then turned to Val.

"What is going on?" she asked.

"What do you mean?" asked Val.

"Since Ivarstead, you've been acting different then usually." said Aela.

"I'm just sad about Theryn." said Val.

"He's been captured." said Aela. "Not killed. You saw what he did at Valtheim Towers. He's probably planning his escape already."

"You're right. I can't let sadness cloud my judgement." said Val.

    "Ready to go?" asked Aela.

Val hugged her. "Let's go." she said.

As they continued, they saw J'huzho talking to a Nord in the distance.

    At the same time

Theryn slowly pushed the key into the lock of his cell. He slowly turned it and opened the cell.

"Come on." said Theryn to the other prisoner.

They crawled through the castle, avoiding guards the whole time. As they were passing near the throne room, they saw the leader of the Volkihar.

"Harkon." said Theryn as he saw him. "I could take him down right now."

"No. You'll die. And you have that girl to go back to." said the prisoner.

Theryn nodded. "Right. Let's go." he said.

They continued through the castle. And then...

"AAAHHH!" yelled the prisoner. Theryn turned around and saw a vampire with his jaws inside the prisoners neck. The prisoner fell limp on the floor.

"You really thought that I wouldn't notice my keys missing?" asked the vampire with a smile.

"I managed to get this far, so, you didn't notice." said Theryn.

"ARGH!" yelled the vampire and lunged towards Theryn.

Theryn jumped out of the way and the vampire missed his jump. Theryn sword from a weapon rack that was on the wall. He also noticed the fireplace near the weapon rack.

He countered the vampires attack, grabbed him and flung him towards the fireplace. "NO!" yelled the vampire as Theryn opened the nearby window. The wind gave the fire some much needed oxygen and it's flames covered the vampires head as Theryn pressed it down. In a few minutes, the vampire was dead. However, Theryn could hear screams from the hallway, indicating that his battle was heard by the other residents.

"Time to go." he said and looked out the window. "Leap of faith." He jumped through the window and after a short 'flight' he landed in the sea below.

He looked up and saw Harkon in the window. Behind him, a misterious figure. He turned around and started swiming towards the mainland.

    Some time later

Val and Aela cought up with J'huzho, who was speaking to a Nord.

"Hey, you're the Nord that asked for help from Theryn in Ivarstead." said Val.

"Yes. I'm Golldir. I heard in Ivarstead that a warrior High Elf was taken by vampires. Seeing as I know only one warrior Elf, I knew that you could use my help." said Golldir.

    "Returning the favor?" asked Aela.

    "Aye." said Golldir.

"This one thinks we could use another sword." said J'huzho.

Aela nodded and they continued towards Dimhollow, with no idea in what they're about walk into.

Glad you liked it. I wanted to make it longer but I just didn't know what to write.
