My favorite and most played character in Fallout 4 is The Gearhead.
He’s the sort of capable character that, if I were in his post-apocalyptic predicament, I’d hope I would be. With some exaggeration of course. The full build explanation is certainly worth a read prior to delving into this story.
Grease and Guile: Tales of a Wasteland Gearhead (GaG) is a story that will be told in first person, exploring the struggle and success of life in the Wasteland from the perspective of my character. The plan is to alternate chapters: one being in the present, told chronologically and the next a glimpse of an imagined past life. This is my ultimate attempt to solve what many see as Fallout 4's main roleplay problem - a "set" back story.
Main Character:
Speaking of a set backstory, GaG will feature my take on our sole survivor, Nate. But at the outset, he discards the old name favoring the nickname given to him by army buddies. The Gearhead is a brilliant inventor, skilled mechanic and adept rifleman. He makes use of the junk strewn across the post-war landscape, turning trash into whatever is necessary to survive.

Author's Note: This is a repost from the original (Ning) site that did not port over. I've rebranded the title and will likely lightly edit the chapters. I'll also drip the content out slowly as to not overwhelm the discussion feed. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
