  •

    Mission report:

    To: Command of the Minutemen.

Target: Raider base at USAF satellite station Olivia.

    Commanding officer: Captain Eric Asher.

    Date: November 10, 2287.

Assault was performed on minimal intelligence and was carried out successfully. Minimal minutemen casualties seen the small size of the assault force.

     Objectives:

    1. Eliminate the raider presence at the target location.
    2. Secure the imprisoned slaves held within the compound.
    3. Capture the head of the raider organization. If failure seems imminent; eliminate target.

    Report:

Start of the assault at 1100 hours, minutemen forces move in to intercept small group of isolated contacts outside the compound. Interception successful. No minutemen casualties. 2 Raider casualties.

Charge of the compound starts at 1120 hours. Minutemen forces launch the first assault on the exterior of the compound. Assault successful. Sergeant Garvey injured. 4 Raider Casualties. The bodies of the raiders were quickly search for any extra ammunitions or grenades. 13 extra fusion cells and 2 molotov cocktails retrieved.

1150 hours: assault of the interior of the compound. No existing intelligence to support assault. Minutemen forces prep for insertion. Insertion successful. Commanding officer temporarily incapacitated by an attack dog during combat. No further casualties during insertion.

1235 hours: Objective 1 successful. Raider presence at target broken, if not eliminated. Five raiders captured. Objectives 2 and 3, partial successes. One of the freed slaves died during contact with the raider chief, others were severely injured. Raider leader was consequently put down by the commanding officer to avoid further casualties. Commanding officer injured. 6 Raider Deaths, 5 Raiders Captured.

1330 hours: Slaves secured and able bodies armed with the weapons from the uncovered armory. Initial search of the compound completed, no further raiders or slaves found. Otherwise a very fruitful sweep. Sergeant Garvey placed under heavy emotional duress. Follow-up requested by commanding officer.

1340 hours: Minutemen forces and friendlies leave the compound in direction of Concord. Due to limited transport capacity several key items were left behind (most of the located armory), as well as a decent amount of scrap. Request for a pack brahmin and a retrieval team. In the meantime armory resealed.

    Target success:

    1.Objective successful; raider presence eliminated.

2.Objective a partial success, 6 slaves liberated, 4 casualties among the slaves, of which 1 death.

3.Objective a partial success, Raider leader put down.

    Spoils of war:

    1 Fusion core.

    1 Minigun.

    657 5mm bullets.

    1 Mini Nuke.

    154 pieces of .38 ammunition

    20 .308 bullets.

    60 pounds of molerat meat.

    5x1L of purified water.

    Material Losses:

    64 Fusion cells.

    8 Stimpaks.

    Notes from the commanding officer:

    •Requested follow-up for Sergeant Garvey’s emotional issues.

•Request for a retrieval team to be sent to the target location.

•Satellite dishes at the USAF station seem out of order. If available send over mechanic for a closer look. Low priority objective due to the unlikeliness of success.

•Several of the freed slaves have elected to join the minutemen, request to allow recruitment.

I wouldn't take this as an example for a military report if I were you. I did my best but I had quite a limited set of ressources to work with (my limited time for research didn't help; I mostly wrote this over lunch).

Huh. I always wondered how military reports look like and this is actually quite interesting read. Good one, Tein.
