I just liked the colours. Stirk Island:
Though claimed at times by Valenwood, the Gold Coast, and Hammerfell, the island of Stirk is really a no-man's-land. If it belongs to anyone, it's the Pirates of the Abecean Sea, who use Stirk's Ayleid ruins as arenas for settling disputes through trial by combat.

I wouldn't be surprised if now it belongs to the Aldmeri Dominion.

If the Pirates of the Caribbean films, the tv show Black Sails, and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag have taught me anything, it's that piracy thrives in times of instability. Her Gracefulness Queen Ayrenn was not an ineffectual ruler by a long shot, but even the Unforeseen Queen appears to have had a tough time with the pirates. It takes three things to tackle the menace of the parrot-bearers: Time, dedication, and resources - three things her majesty did not have at the time of the Three Banners War. Fast forward to 4E 201 and how much has changed? Assuming that Stirk Island was once again a pirate nest, can we say that the Old Mary Dominion was in a better position to tackle the problem than her awesomeness Ayrenn was in the Second Era? I mean, the AD limped away from the Great War in as bad a shape as Cyrod, and had their golden butts handed to them by Hammerfell. I would think that where time, dedication, and resources are concerned, the Dominion of the Fourth Era have even... less

The Thalmor had a lot of time to deal with pirates before the war. If they kicked them off the island one time, it would be much easier to do it in the future.
