Even though Oblivion did cut a fair bit from Morrowind (not to mention literally removing the Enchanting skill altogether) it still kept in enough that a creative mind could do a lot of fun stuff. For instance, if you put a high magnitude Absorb Agility for 1 second on a weapon, it'd allow you to stun-lock many enemies. And I'll admit being able to put Weakness to Magic/Elements on a weapon was a bit silly, but hey, it was fun too.
Also, it allowed for a lot of cleverness. e.g., put a Silence enchant on a helm, drop it next to a charmed enemy mage, and if he puts it on, he won't be able to cast spells at you! Items like this would be even more effective in Skyrim, as you can now reverse-pickpocket weighted items ... And that in turn would actually give some use to one of the most overlooked skills in the game.
If you were playing a mage, you could use the elemental shields (which, for some reason, also had a built-in general AR buff) on a set of robe... less

Given my understanding of the warlock class, whilst the shalidor mirror type spell can be understood, not sure how the increase speed fits in.
The ring seems more battle Mage type actually...
But yeah, I agree with teccam though... Beth should consider have spell effects based enchant implemented more, like the ring of azhidal less

I too miss that... Skyrim and oblivion have many charms of their own, but I feel magic in general has been heavily gimped as the games have progressed, leaning further and further toward the mindless warrior stereotype
