I'm cool with the grey/golden skin, but something about the Altmer in Skyrim seems off. They don't look golden, they look yellow.
I think they should be distinguished by high cheekbones and pointed ears. Then You would have altmer with brighter/paler skin, bosmer with very tan weathered faces and dunmer with grey/black skin. But I'm old school like that.
