In Fallout you could get it on with the Saloon lady at Mortiarty's... But it's only implied. I can't even remember if it's in Oblivion. Just want your ideas on this colossal piece of detail in a game that prides itself in detail.

No you won't. Remember? Dragons burn when they die. You'll get some tasty dragon bonemarrow though...

Ugh! Fine! I choose steak. Not just because of delicious protein, but because in five days (five!!) I will be able to feast on 100% organic, free-range DRAGON STEAK.

Why can't we have twists and turns like that in games? We have them in any other form of media. But as I said, I'm done argumenting. As for the namecalling, I stand by it. But I won't blame Paul or the blog host if I get a warning for it.

@ Arthur Keen, I hate potatoes. They taste wierd. Choose now, steak or potatoes damnit >:(

just look to SrsFox's comments to substaniate my arguments on why its pointless to add sex into a game.

played both the witcher and witcher2, didnt do the sex, didnt need too, and as for stupid its an opinion and I have not derided yours, so to quantify a debate with name calling pretty much nullifies any argument that you could present. there is enough twists and turns in life we dont need to extend them into a game.

Was going to write a long post which essentially boiled down to how stupid your arguments are, Dan. But I won't bother. It's not worth trying to convince you that sex in games isn't just a marketing issue. So I'll just say this, go play The Witcher 2. If you come back and tell me that you thought the sex in that game was all about getting teenagers to buy it, then I'm sorry, but you are just plain dumb. If you want to stay on the side of the fence that still thinks games are toys to be played, and doesn't have the potential to be something more, then fine. I'll hang out over here with the guys and gals who actually care for this medium and wants it to evolve as an artform.

Oh, and we have steak on this side of the fence. Just thought I should mention that. Enjoy your potatoes.

I don't think it's about Immersion, Dan. My character is not an extension of myself, he is a character that I have created. The game is his life. He lives in there, he adventures in there. All adventures come to an end eventually, so why shouldn't he be able to acquire a wife? Why shouldn't he be able to plow her/him?

Why you tryin' to be a cockblock, bro?

The Nexus, its all about sales not art if they can get percentage points in sales over sex its in the game because sex sells, for years games never crossed that threshold til they saw the sales jump. Like I said making it an issue in a game means something is missing in life for those who it is a make or break issue. for me I would rather the programmers would focus on in depth content instead of sex, give me disabling injuries, actual equipment failures instead. I think actualy seeing the leather clasp on a shield breaking during combat or the risk losing a digit and dropping your weapon during a battle would be more immersive.

And, really, if you're allowing marriage then you're already saying sex is fine. While it may not be the be-all and end-all of relationships for people, MARRIAGE specifically is related to and directly leads to sex by any cultural norm. Allowing people to get married to one another and then banning sex would be... insane. (Same sex or otherwise!)

I didn't think of like this before, but now I do, if there isn't at least some tasteful suggestive dialogue followed by a fade-to-black then that could well be the oddest decision Bethesda have made! But we'll see, won't we? I can certainly see why they wouldn't have mentioned it yet; as Soleiya said, the moment that gets out, it becomes ALL ABOUT THE SEX YOU GUYS.

And we definitely don't want that!
