Please write what you think or if I got something wrong (which I undoubtably have one place or another), correct me!
Disclaimer/Abstract: I know that some have already tackled this before and some have tacked it with a lot of racism in mind. So I'd like to preface that the concept of "skin color" will not be touched on in this analysis, neither will stereotypes be addressed unless they are so prevalent that they influence artistic vision of these races. Therefore, I won't assign one race to one group unless it's that obvious due to the diversity of cultures. I will however, generalize to some extent (Yes, I am aware that "Sub-Saharan African" is not a singular culture, but it is similar enough to make generalize... less

A few examples are known - Vivec, who is Chimer as well as Dunmer - his blue skin and gold skin is a testament to that. Also, Brand-Shei. The Dunmer merchant from Riften may not be Argonian, but he says he was raised one, and his quest backs that up. People who are raised by another race technically counts as a half-breed, doesn't it?
Another group of half-breeds are the Bretons, and to a degree, the Reachmen - nords and bretons, together - and they occupy the Hold of Skyrim known as the Reach. I made this discussion to see who are half-breeds - people I didn't know about - as well as to discuss the legitimacy of actual Half-breeds. My current character - Wulf-Blöd, is a khajiit born, but believes himself to be a true nord - sovngarde, death or glory, mead - and he also has traces of werewolf blood within him - not enough to create an actual werewolf out of him, but sort of like he has, I don't know, tendencies that are similar to a... less

A couple of those arrows came too close! I like how Teldryn reassured Ciel’nn and made him feel safe but didn't try to pressure him to share his memories and thoughts until Ciel’nn was ready. I’m glad Ciel’nn shared his memories associated with picking locks and that Teldryn was able to comfort him.

It was sweet of Teldryn to bring Ciel’nn herbal tea and sweet bread. It’s touching that the herbal tea reminded Ciel’nn of his mother and that he has pleasant memories to offset the unpleasant memories of his father. I like how Teldryn reassured Ciel’nn that he was there to help him heal from the bad memories.
The Reavers seem like they’re out for blood, though I don’t think disposing of the bladesman and getting rid of “the brat” will be as easy as they think it might be. less

I hope one day Teldryn will tell Ciel’nn about his experiences. The battle scene at Tel Mithryn was intense! I enjoyed how descriptive you were with the combat moves. The ending was sweet with Teldryn cooking for them and Ciel’nn being willing to tolerate a certain book because Teldryn was the one reading it.

Tenaru is definitely up to something and it’s probably not good. I’m glad Ciel’nn shared about attempting to poison his father with Teldryn and realized Teldryn was understanding about it. After overhearing what Ciel’nn told Teldryn, it was nice of Geldis to give Ciel’nn a honey tea. Having read “Protected, no longer,” it was bittersweet when Ciel’nn reminisced about honey and Skyrim and his Nord friend. less
GailOlm commented on Caladran's blog entry: I like how you've "humanized" the reavers instead of just portraying them as "enemies," giving them names, sharing a bit about them, and showing they care for each other as a family. Like Ciel'nn, I'm curious about the treasure but we have to wait...

Though they're reluctant to kill him because of this, I agree with Ciel'nn that they're putting the entire village in danger by not doing so. Hopefully they'll take some action soon. The child certainly was strange as was the amulet. I wonder if it will protect Ciel'nn.

GailOlm commented on Caladran's blog entry: I'm wondering what made the roar and killed the Rieklings. It's understandable that Ciel'nn and Teldryn as well as the Skaal would be so uneasy. I love how Ciel'nn came to the defense of the Rieklings when Frea belittled them. (L)
