Before Skyrim got DLCs, J'zargo was notable in the fact he lacked a level cap, likely unintentional. People thought this made him the best, but the excess levels only really give him more health/magicka/stamina, and his AI seems to prefer weak novice spells for some reason, even over strong weapons sometimes. He has high one-handed skill but won't use them. The other mage followers were more effective in combat, and Dawnguard then introduced new followers that had no level cap and didn't cast novice spells. Although, level caps past 50-ish is kinda a moot point, because their skills can't go past 100 anyway, and you'll get more survivability from armor and enchantments than with some extra health. Also, there are a couple followers marked essential in case you're just worried about your follower dying.
He's also notable for being one of only two Khajiit followers,... less

Ok I just checked, Miraak actually absorbs Krosulhah's soul every time. He even teleports in on the same spot too, Bethesda just didn't give him any unique dialogue for it. I suppose it makes sense considering that Krosulhah was under Miraak's command, bu...

Chris H.,
You are absolutely correct about Frea and starting the Skaal Questline without becoming Dragonborn! You are also correct about meeting Krosulhah outside Nchardak. This equals two dragon souls without being Dragonborn, assuming that...

Really? I though Frea only spawned after you start the "Dragonborn" quest which first required you to complete the "Dragon Rising" and "The Way of the Voices" quests.
If you're right, it could open up some interesting possibilities!
Huh, interesting. I suppose Vulthuryol might be the only dragon you can fight without doing Dragon Rising technically since the encounter's triggered by the shout instead. And actually, since you can use this to learn Bend Will and cleanse the stone...

1. Shields not being classed as apparel, and the ability to use shields in either hand rather than just left. (basically, similar to how Dark Souls handled shields)
which could also mean, Shields could use the weapon enchants (or something similar) but instead activate on bash, like dealing fire/frost/shock damage or turn undead. Skyrim had some of this but it was only available on special unique shields, crafted shields could only use apparel enchants.
Alternatively, enchantments that activate upon blocking.
Perhaps also some more support for shield mages, especially if we're still going to have hand-wielded magic or one-handed staves. Like some artifact shields or something.
2. Return of hand-to-hand as a skill. Alternatively, add fist weapons to fulfill the same purpose, but allowed to be enchanted or sharpened.
3. No more movement penalites for Two-handed, please! If my character's a master of the greatsword, it shouldn't be so unweildy for him. It only really made sense f... less

The city itself looks mighty, I love the architecture. And that huge bridge! Also Hjerim is the best house you can have in the game (besides ones built yourself) even if it's got the steepest ownership requirements. The fact that Windhelm's docks are basically the only way to and from Solstheim, plus the amount of merchants in the city, means that I end up spending a lot of time there.
I've also taken a liking to Dawnstar's layout, how it's kind of in a C shape around its docks, and there's a couple elevation levels too.
I also like Mothal's sorta swampy appearance, I'd hang around there more often but the town lacks both a blacksmith and a general store, and not much else happens around there. less

Actually, it's more accurate to say we lack an accent, the English is spoken so clearly. (maybe its different further north or in the residential areas of the larger cities I wouldn't know as I haven't been there). Maybe it had something to do with the predominant mix of German/Polish/Native-American heritage? I know german as a language tends to be formal and to-the-point.
(on the other hand, I'm pretty good at imitating accents, with enough effort. But it haven't done that in a while...) less
