Pete on twitch "we wanted to keep E3 to stuff that you can get your hands on very soon." "We could have done an hour and half of stuff in the works but we wanted to keep this conference about the now...the current"

    I'll just leave this here.

TB was actually way softer on them than I expected. He seems to have liked it more than I did. Feels like I'm in some kind of negative zone.

He did go in with low expectations to be fair. Everything that was shown, he expected. And I guess that's really the best summation of Bethesda's E3 Showcase: "expected".

Interesting commentary on the potential effects on the modding community, though.

So Skyrim VR was announced! At Sony's E3 conference -_- This thing flew way the hell under the radar.

Well there we have it, Bethesda's tricked us all and is going to release all their cool stuff in other conferences :P

EDIT: actually I assume that I've missed all of E3 now, but you know Skyrim VR is fine

And I still maintain that you should be more than able keep yourself alive in full heavy armor while using Rally (2H skill) and Breath of Life. I soloed a world boss in Stonefalls last night in 5 light, 1 heavy, and 1 medium on my magicka dragonknight.

That's the point, Pat, 5 light gives you magic based bonuses, combined with all points in M, your magicka heals are very powerful.

I have 7/7 heavy which gives me some survivability bonuses, but all my points are in stamina, so my magicka heals are total sh*t, plus I run out of magicka after just 2-3 casts. Unless there is a powerful stamina based heal, I'm screwed.

Oh, and I don't use Rally, I use Forward Momentum, as it costs less. Being a 7/7 HA and a Nord I don't have that much stamina even with all points in stamina.

Anyway, we may come from different positions, but the premise is the same - crap game mechanics.

Skyrim VR looks... interesting. It'd certainly be fun, and firing spells at people or wandering through Blackreach would be awesome, but I can't help but feel like its not really worth it. But I've never used VR, so my opinion probably isn't accurate to reality.

Meh, at this point I'm waiting for ES6, where they'll probably have VR a year or two after release, if not straight away.
