Heyo! Quick question for anyone that could help me out since I've never done much as far as writing something like this. Since mine is on imps and there isn't a ton to go into about them (partly wwhy I picked them so it could be nice and simple) is it okay to do just like a quicky "journal" type thing? I figured I could do it from the perspective of a crazed wood elf who's obsession with magical beasts has turned him into quite a comical character. Like the first entry would be him noting on how he just escaped from the Imperial prison after being thrown in there for trying to run some tests on Sparky(the Mage college's pet imp). So is like a short, comical approach okay?

Absolutely, we have no problem with that. Just don´t forget that the research, the lore, has to outweight the comical story approach. What I mean by that: Make sure it doesn´t turn out into a full blown story. Try to focus on something like a journal, correspondence, research log, that should definitely help.

Okay sweet that's along the lines of what I was thinking, much appreciated Karver

Does a Seeker from Solstheim count? If so sign me up for that.

Seeker is a Daedroth, thus Seeker doesn't count.

Yeah, as Karver says; Seekers are daedra... Or at least what remains of the souls of scholars trapped in Apocrypha I think. Regardles those do not qualify for this event. The Mysterium Bestia event is focused on the creatures that live in Tamriel (as a continent in Nirn). We are thinking of doing a different event for Daedra in the future but that's still quite far away at this point. In the meantime I would like to say; pick a creature and enjoy yourself that's what we're here for!

If anyone has a few free minutes to check out the start of my submission for this event in the Workshop so I can make sure what I'm doing is in line with eveything I'd be extremely grateful! :)

Hey guys, how have your articles been going? I'm guessing you're all still firmly entrenched in books, notes and gaming expeditions, but if you've got the time don't forget to go around and show some support to the guys that have already started working on their articles.

First of all we've got MaddMannatee who has started his wip article over in the workshop and is trying to give us some great information about those annoying little buggers we all know and hate... Nope not talking about Cliffracers, I'm talking about imps.

    Wip Lore Event: Imps

Second we've got Karver and his research log. These are a bit of an experimental feature we're trying for the duration of the event and consist of a regularly updated lore article that is written like a... You guessed it; a research log. So yeah, go and have a look at that if you've got some time to spare. The subject of this particular research log are another green pest we know from the forests of Cyrodiil: Goblins.

Mysterium Bestia: Goblins - A Research Log

And last but not least we've got our Vault madwoman; Liss. Who of course, when asked to make a lore article went the extra mile (This is to be measured in word count) and decided to create an entire story. You may already have seen it pop up in the blogs list, so far there's just an introduction. However, Karve and I are still considering whether or not we should disqualify Liss from the event for it. Give it a look and help us decide will you?

    Dossier of Dragons

So far that's everything we've got to show you today. Please don't hesitate to share your WiP articles over in this thread so everyone gets to help out.

On a different note, I've decided to add a small little rule to those already present on the first page of this thread. I'll add it there as well, but just so everyone gets the notice:

Event articles are to be named "Mysterium Bestia: Title"

A good example of this would be Karver's research log which already has this naming format in place. Anyway, have a great event!

Just checking in to say that the research article is coming along nicely! Should have some ice wraithy goodness for everybody here soon. Not sure if I should post it as a WiP in the workshop or just finish the whole thing and post it early?
