    I have one to add:
Get turret and protectron control holotapes from Total Hack magazines. Both can be obtained without a fight - at Wildwood Cemetery and Wattz Consumer Electronics (some ghouls may spawn at the cemetery but you can lure them away and grab the holotape while they're distracted).
Those holotapes allow you to turn turrets on your side and make protectrons followers :)

Do you take rads in power armor in new survival mode? I'm close to taking a trip to Virgil...

Don't know. I haven't really used Power Armour much at all since the Fusion Cores are so heavy. I actually ended up taking a Hazmat Suit and sneaking very carefully through the Glowing Sea. Scary stuff.

Just a tip with your visit to Virgil though - there's a bed on the ruined overpass just to the left of the 'Edge of the Glowing Sea' waypoint. Good save point before you head in.

It can be tough to get to diamond city early on. Due south of Vault 111 is a shack. Due west of that is another shack, and a trader lives there. Much safer and closer to home. He's got a little bit of everything, seems random. You can save with the bed in the first cabin (with the dead girl), go west and see what the trader has, and reload if he doesn't have what you're looking for.

Love seeing this list expand. As it gets bigger though, it might get a bit difficult to parse for a first time reader. Maybe after the next few updates you could consider a visual overhaul, with categories and such. Looking through this once more, it seems like categories like Radiation, Travel, Combat, etc. would be appropriate. Once again, loving the list! I'll be using them all when I start my own survival playthrough after exams.

Hey peeps, don't forget that this is meant to be a collaborative thing! I might be done with my Survival character but I know many of you are still playing. Don't be afraid to share some of your top Survival tips here and I'll add them to the post.

Show No Mercy is one hell of a quest to get right on Survival. The frontal-assault approach has failed me every time. I found that the best way to survive once you're on the ground is to hop out of the Vertiberd ASAP and immediately run behind it and across the bridge. From there you can lose the enemies or funnel them into your fire.

It's also just generally a good idea to take out some of the super mutants on the ground while you're in the air? Just fewer guns pointed at you once you're on the ground.
