Live the dream, man. You've absolutely got what it takes. If you ever want to correspond with your OC work as you do with DotE, don't hesitate to ask.

It is a trend among most professions that involve the arts, whether in a performance or educational capacity. The singing profession is very similar, especially in the classical arena. The first decade after college is auditions and usually rejection. Or apprentice programs. Usually major opera roles in a big house (like being published really, you even get reviewed) will come in your 30s. At any rate, this first decade is really to decide if you like the life. I went through it, and ended up not liking it much. I love the singing, don't get me wrong, but I profoundly hated the business of it. Found my outlet to be creative in other ways, including in performance, and am now much happier.

It is a good experience, though. Ha, more fuel for your writing.

This means a lot to me. Thanks, Boro. I'll absolutely keep in touch.

Thank you, Lissette. It's always reassuring to hear that others have gone through similar experiences.

This is the age of millennials; we need instant gratification now all the time! You should not go per book, or even per blog, but live stream! Haha, isn't that a horrifying thought, having people watch you rewrite the same sentence 15 times.

In all seriousness though, it might be a good idea to keep DOTE in blog format. There's probably going to be more than a few times when you feel like your book is going nowhere and should be thrown in a fire. Having some blogs to post could be a good way to keep moral up and see some progress.  [This message was not biased by wanting to keep reading the blog]

This was actually my other consideration, and likely the one I'll go with. DOTE can remain a sort of morale booster for me (assuming the series continues to go well with audiences).

BOOM. Two chapters in two weeks, each nearly 5000 words long. Ladies and gentlemen, I am not slowing down... IN THE SLIGHTEST!!!

    Sorry, I'm done.

We've got about five chapters left to go until the end of Arc 2! I'm going to try and push to have it done by the end of August, though that goal is tentative at best. I'll be moving out of my apartment and transitioning jobs sometime in the middle of all this, so that'll likely put a damper on things. But I shall always find time to write! (If only because I get stir crazy when I go a day without writing.)

I'm getting excited. Whatever anticipation you guys are feeling, I'm feeling it times ten. Unless your anticipation is zero... Then it doesn't matter what you multiply it by...

Ah, but here I am talking about me. If you're reading this, go read someone else's blog! Leave a comment! Make someone happy! I don't know. Just go do stuff.

I am so tired and unmedicated right now. XP

Woo! Another first draft done! I'm popping out 4000+ word chapters like a gumball machine.

Man... Arc 2 is turning out to be quite a bit longer than Arc 1. Whereas Arc 1 stands at 56k, Arc 2 is at 73k and still going. DOTE is nearing 150k overall. That's kind of nuts...

If updates like this make you roll your eyes, I'm sorry. This one's still going out, but I'll focus on giving more meaningful updates from here onward.

Sometimes when the writing is clear and we know what is happening, that writing becomes easier to do, at least for me. Many times, the ending is what I envision first. It's great to not have writer's block, though, isn't it? I just finished some research myself and will be writing new material for the Steam forums this weekend.

Bleh, I'm not done with my Part I yet either. I've some chapters to go on that before I reach what I consider the proper ending. Then, I'll have to implement some changes to my TOC to reflect this.

You think you're a little nuts? Should I  tell you my word count so far for Part I alone, or should I spare you true insanity?

Feels good to be happy with what you're doing, doesn't it? I will not begrudge you a pat on the back.

    *pats Okan on the back*

I pat myself on the back too and others around here should they need it. What we are doing here isn't easy and we all have lives outside of Tamriel Vault.

Okan-Zeeus, you're brilliant. I'm definitely not rolling my eyes. You should get excited about being so far into your story!! 150,000 words is... NUTS! But it's fantastic! That's 42 chapters if you count the prologues and epilogue! Feel good!
