Now, now, Sotek-jo. You can always make up for it next week. And you did write 7k words while all I did was slump around drooling over my unedited chapters.

For those who don't now what most musical forms are called (like me, who didn't know they were called forms either):

-(Dashes so that the spoiler doesn't appear on the front page and/or my profile)

While writing Part 19, I realized that I actually, in all honesty, didn't want to kill anyone off just yet. However! Just because Suhr and Lili are safe for now, I do have a concept I'd like to introduce in this chapter. Posting the idea here to get your opinions. Basically, for those that don't know, in ESO you use Soul Gems to resurrect after dying. It's a nifty game mechanic, but I got to thinking. What if when you use a Soul Gem to revive, you literally absorb the soul within the gem into yourself? And that led me to this idea: Ardolan and co. find a cache of Black Soul Gems the Heritance owns (because they're evil), and Ardolan is forced to use one because he 'dies' at one point. However, this causes the soul inside to invade Ardolan's mind, giving him a second personality that sometimes takes control, in addition to giving Ardolan the soul's memories. If I do go with this idea, it will reoccur later in AotQ (with each new soul giving another personality that can control him), as well as my other ESO series when I get around to making them.

What do you guys think? Too strange? Or cool enough to work? In any event, thanks for reading!

It all comes down to what you believe what happens with soul when you trap it. But...I will stop my Lore musings and just get to the matter at hand.

Vestige is an interesting thing. Being living without a soul. So if your heart stops beating, your consiousnes stops working...what ressurects the body? I would consider here that this kind of resurrecting requires someone else to do it. Basicaly makes your character...not so immortal and over the top.

I like the thing with personalities. I myself - and take it like it´s just my personal preferance - I wouldn´t go with the personalities going in full control, but...I would try to sell them as voices. Voices talking in his head, flood of memories here and there. Maybe in the moments of weakness one of the souls could try to take over. The more souls the more dangerous. Just an idea, so what do you think?

I'm kinda leaning towards a hybrid of your idea and mine, where he has to deal with the voices and memories, but the souls can possess him fully at times. Thanks for the input!

Just popping by the camp fire to say hi and I'm still here :-)

The next chapter of T.I.A. is planned to be done before the end of the year, just taken a look at my in-game notes and the last chapter is so far from it, it's unrecognizable, but better for it I think. Working on padding ideas at the moment, Auguris is spending his first night at the Bannered Mare so there should be some interesting observations.

Finally, finally finished editing R.T.H.L. Chapter 18 (damned NaNo word rushes and the subsequent cleanup *mutter mutter grumble grumble grumble*) and gave my ToC and every other chapter an overhaul while I was at it. Removed the chapter names since I felt they were all too similar, then reorganised them into Arcs instead. No more of that 'Part the First', 'Part the Second' rot.
