Warden Class Leak (confirmed to be accurate)

The following info-graphic about the new Warden class (which was to be published in an upcoming issue of Xbox magazine) was recently leaked online. I generally despise gaming "leaks" (let's face it, the majority are not trustworthy), but ESO Community Manager, Gina Bruno, confirmed that the information was true. Although it does not go into tremendous detail about the individual skills (no tooltip data), and has what appears to be the magazine author's commentary, it does give us a picture of the Warden class.

Hmmm, interesting. I think my interest in this class is heavily going to depend on some of the morphs but at the moment it just doesn't match my playstyle. I'm a Solo Player in ESO,so it kind of feels like most of the skills won't be designed to help me all that much (3 of the GB skills and 2 of the WE skills seem very ally related to me) which is a slight shame. This class just seems to be heavily designed for team play and doesn't look like it'll have all that much stopping power for just a bloke running it Solo.

But, that's what I get for being a lame ass solo player, I think the class seems relatively interesting but seems a little too focused on being a Healer when there seems to be an abundence of healing for most of the other classes (I mean, Templar, Dragonknight and Nightblade all seem to have plenty of healing options).

I have PLANS. Admittedly, game mechanics might make said plans not work, but it looks like a really fun way to go through the game, and since I'm all about fun over playing smart (I have a vampiric lifedrain/healing Nightblade mage, a werewolf Bosmer Stamina Sorceror, and a Dunmer Dragon Knight who plays like a tanky fire mage, all of them at low levels but FUN!), I'm looking forward to adding one of these guys to my roster as a roving Imperial Ranger sort, kind of like a more Druid-y and less royal Aragorn.

Like Dragonborn said, the Warden doesn't seem like a very 'solo' class. That said, if I do get Morrowind, I'll probably roll a Warden anyways, just to try it.

I was thinking its Animal Companions could benefit from its supportive skills and help it be a more effective solo player, particularly if you have a bear play tank while you can deal damage and throw out the occasional heal/buff. I don't know if it'll be magicka or stamina-based yet, of course.

I defintely think you can solo with this class. First, animal companions can help the solo player. You see this in action in the gameplay trailer as the Warden summons the Cliff Racer to knock down the opponent. Looking at all the skills, those animals can help tank and DPS for the solo player.

For the healing skills, you need to understand something very important in ESO. When a skill tooltip says "Allies" as in "heals Allies for xx" the game considers YOU to be an ally. So, any of those healing skills will apply to you whether you are in a group or not.

If I were to solo as a Warden, I'd most likely make use all three skill lines. Animal companion to tank and help DPS, Green Balance for healing over time, and a couple of skils in Winter's Embrace to give me a shield and to buff my defenses. Couple those skils with a melee weapon skill like a bow or a 2H, you have a powerful solo class on your hands.

I was thinking something VERY similar, yes! As a relatively new player (I had friends pull me away from ESO when I don't think I even had anything in the 20s yet), my main concern was whether it would end up feasible as full-Stamina or not. I only really ever played single-resource builds before (Stamina Sorceror and Magicka Nightblade were my mains, with a Magicka Templar made and a Dragon Knight I never really figured out how to play). If there was a way to go full-or-mostly Stamina, this would be pretty dang beastly with a two-handed sword, and if not, then investing in Resto/Destruction Staves would make for a very tanky, very survivable pet mage.
