It's pretty funny that the Magna-Ge Pantheon is a reference to the printing press.

Hi, so I have recently came back to TES and im getting the ESO in a weeks time, I am looking foward to playing it and I will be purchasing the gold edition with all dlc. So I was just wondering whether I should play a stamina nightblade or magicka nightblade, I will mainly play PVP solo and PVE solo or with a group.

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice ? Im going to be playing PS4 and my gamertag is Jimii-7

Hey, Jono. Welcome! Given your desire to play a nightblade in solo PvP and solo/group PvE, I'd definitely recommend stamina Nightblade. With the right gear and set-up, stamina NB is the BEST class for solo PvP. For the moment, Stamina NBs are very strong and can sustain resources very well thanks to their passives. Magicka NBs, not so much. There are rumors, however, that magicka NBs and DKs might get a buff in February 2017, but that's all conjecture.

One of my characters is a NB and I solo all the time in PvP.

Right, I am going to buy ESO again, Now, could you clarify that it is possible to play solo just until I can get a feel for the game, my fav Race is the Dunmer but I am unsure which race to play I like destruction Magic and magical shields, I haven't a clue where to start and do not want to piss anyone off by balling it up. Not really into person v Person pvp though can that be avoided?  Sorry to post such a gobful all at once but ESO is expensive especially with all the extra stuff. Thanks guys

Hey, Bonelord. You can absolutely play a TON of content solo. If you start a Dunmer in the Ebonheart Pact, you will being your journey in Coldharbour. After Coldharbour, you will be sent to Bleakrock Isle and Bal Foyen to do some basic starter quests. After those quests are complete, you will begin the Ebonheart Pact's main questline in the following areas:

    1) Stonefalls (my favorite zone)

    2) Deshaan (no spoilers but you'll get to meet someone very important to the Dunmeri people)

    3) Shadowfen (as close to Black Marsh as you can get)

    4) then the all-too-familiar areas of the Rift and Eastmarch

These quests are intended to be done solo. Also, you can complete the main game quest (which is specifically designed to be solo), and the fighter's and mage's guilds. If you get the Gold edition, you can do quests in the DLC zones: Wrothgar, Gold Coast (dark brotherhood), and Hew's Bane (thieves guild).

As you can see, there is a a lot of solo questing that you can do. Grouping is completely optional unless you want to run some dungeons with others. I assume you will be in the EU server. Someone from the Vault might be able to craft you some gear or you can rely on gear that drops from enemies in the respective zones. I can direct you to the right places for that.

So, you say that you like destruction magic and shields? Then, I strongly suggest that you roll either a Sorcerer or a Templar. A Templar uses less destruction magic than a Sorcerer but they do have some really neat magical spears and sun magic. Templars are very forgiving for a newcomer as they have access to powerful healing abilities that are inherent in the class. But the choice is yours. Here's a link to a video where I solo a group dungeon boss with my Sorcerer:

I wish you the best of luck! Always ask questions; there's no need to ever be confused. I would be delighted to help in any way I can.

I'm like you Bonelord - a bit scared to get into the co-operative play for fear of mucking it up for veterans

A little confession. I've played ESO on and off since it first came out, and I've NEVER played anything other than solo. (I have run a couple of dungeons as part of a group when I just happened to arrive as a group was forming and they asked me to team up. But apart from that, its been solo all the way.)

Trust me, you'll never run out of stuff to do as a solo player

Thank you both for your kind words, cannot wait to get started, great Video Patriarch you certainly showed him, glad to hear about the solo stuff, thanks again

I was wondering what kind of build one would play if one wanted to roleplay an Ash'abah. Since the race is probably Redguard...Maybe Stamina Templar?

Yeah, I would say Redguard for obvious reasons. Then Stamina Templar (probably the best, thematically) or Stamina Dragonknight.

Help! :D I have this blacksmith writ from a few days ago that needs ebony daggers forged. Trouble is, I've used up all my ebony and can only find Calcinium or Voidsteel ore. Have I levelled up passed all hope of finding ebony? I just can't find any at all. Where's the best place to look, any ideas?

Edit: Never mind, Guild Traders sold that which I needed :)
