Oblivion Mod List

    Current Mod List

    Equipment:

    Keychain

    Immersive Weapons

    Graphics and UI:

Elven Map Redux - I just like the look of ERM, it gives the map a really fresh, interesting look that I don't think is beaten by any Oblivion or Skyrim mod.

Better Cities - What can I say, I want better cities so I downloaded Better Cities. I like what  it does to a few of the cities and it really does add a lot to the game

Unique Landscapes Compilation - I'm not entirely sure  if I like ULC, I don't think I've ever managed to see any of the new areas, or edited areas I suppose so I have no idea if I like it.

DarNified UI - Well, to be honest I'd prefer something else but DarNified UI is what I'm used to. I think SkyUi is a much better UI but then again, everything beats what can really be accomplished with Oblivion's system, it was just a terrible thing.

    Gameplay and Quests:

Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul - I've never used Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul so I decided to give it a shot, the changes seem to be very similar to what I was looking for (a difficulty and content overhaul) so I'll be giving it a shot for this playthrough.

Class Advantages - I really, really love this mod. It's one I just found recently but after playing around with it a little I really like how it can make your character rather unique early on. It isn't overpowering, so I don't feel like I'm starting off as some Superhero or anything but it just makes it more fun to create a unique character

Bladesman's Better Birthsigns - Better Birthsigns is just my usual one, I like what it does to all of the standing stones (giving them more passive effects and more interesting powers) so I still use it

Bladesman's New Birthsigns - Same as above really.

Alternate Start - Arrive by Ship

    The Lost Spires

    The Ayelid Steps

    Utility:

    OBSE

    COBL

    Blockhead

Has anyone used Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul? I was thinking about giving it a test but I'm not sure if it's much of a difficulty overhaul or if it just adds new content. I'm just not sure what type of Overhaul it is and wanted to get some feedback on it.

I think I've narrowed down everything. The Ayelid Steps is an interesting enough mod that fits the character I'm running and I decided to go with The Lost Spires as well, just to test it out.  I think they'll create enough new content for me to get through for this character. Anyway, I'm still open for any suggestions on Quest Mods, Weapon Mods and maybe a few Spell and Armour mods but I'm quite content with 80% of what I have at the moment.

I've decided to change a few things. Namely I'm dropping Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul (which seems...a bit strange to me) and pick up OOO instead, I'm just more familiar with it (barely) and prefer the look of it. I think this means I'll be dropping Bladesman's Better Birthsigns as well, which while disappointing is something I can live with (I think it is a tad overpowered).

In other news I should be starting the Modder's Log (Derrani Relvir pt. 2) that uses these mods tonight, I've had some issues with just about everything (because Oblivion...and I got a bit cocky thinking I knew what I was doing). But I'm about 33% sure that I've got it all sorted for now and I'll be able to get to playing for real. I'm really pumped about the entire process and I have a vague idea of what I'm going to be doing (Mage's Guild, The Arena, Ayelid Steps and The Lost Spires)
