Xbox One Modder's Corner

  • January 13

Even though most Skyrim players can now access mods, each console has unique and personal mods that differ slightly from what the others get. Because of this, each console (and PC) gets a corner where you can discuss just about anything in regards to mods for that console (or PC).

This would be the Xbox One Corner, where you could discuss new mods, offer suggestions, talk about news, ask for help finding a mod for a specific purpose or really anything else you can think of.

    Bethesda Xbox One Mods

Here are links to the PS4 Modder's Corner  and PC Modder's Corner just in case, even if you don't have those consoles you can still join in on conversations.

I need help to find a mod but I need to try and pad this request with an explanation as to why I need this and why it's important for the RP, character, and overall concept. This is Ilibi Alit-Atta, an Ashlander and devotee of Mehrunes Dagon.

She has travelled to Markarth in Skyrim to visit Calcelmo in her search for Dwemer artefacts, technology, and knowledge. By using the Alternate Start mod's Hold Property Owner option, Ilibi's story began with the overhauled Vlindrel Hall TNF Hearthfire and close to her initial objective. She's a crossbow archer too and, thanks to Convenient Crossbows (cheers Golds!), she got her primary weapon very early on.

The thing is she is a Red Wife of Dagon, a faction known for, well, this from The Sermons:

But the merchant captain said, 'I doubt that we shall be paid well for the effort. We can make more money if we stop at Noormoc and sell it to the Red Wives of Dagon, who pay well for the wonders made by the Deep Folk.'

But another Chimer, who was wise in the ways of prophecy, looked on the simulacrum with disquietude. 'Was I not hired on to help you seek the best of fortunes? I say you should listen to your warrior, then, and take this thing to Ayem, for though manufactured by our enemies there is something in it that will become sacred, or has been already.'

The merchant captain took pause then and looked on the simulacrum of the netchiman's wife and, though he heeded always the advice of his seers, could do no more than think of the profits to be made at Noormoc. He thought mainly of the Red Wives' form of recompense, which was four-cornered and good wounded, a belly-magic known nowhere else under the moons. His lust made him deny Ayem his mother. He gave order to change course for Noormoc.

So, I actually need something a little more slooty than the black robes and cape (the latter from Cloaks of Skyrim) or the Mythic Dawn Robes she'll later aquire. As the focus with this character is less about Dagon's destructive aspects (although that does still remain a massive factor) but rather Dagon's sphere of ambition, revolution and change, she helped The King in Rags escape Cidhna Mine and was rewarded with Armour of the Old Gods.

Now it is a good set as the bonuses to Destruction and Archery are very fitting for gameplay, while the armour itself looks quite Ashlanderish (the wearable lantern will be replaced by a torchbug in a jar for that Dunmeri bug thing they've got going on and focus on the organic in all their stuff) but it just doesn't seem quite right. So I need a slooty set that would fit the Red Wife but isn't totally tasteless. Does such a thing exist?

For the sake of completeness and because I love purple curtains, the above pic is with Darkness Falls with the lantern on (although there is a Campfire further behind me). Here is the same scene with the lantern extinguished (clicky):

Also am running Enhanced Night Skyrim for high resolution stars in greater quantity.

She got her torchbug lantern. The above picture is clicky for big, the lantern is prominently displayed. As is the thematically appropriate attire.

I am looking for a mod or a group of mods that make all or most of the NPCs better looking, and a mod or group of mods that makes your character look better? Any recommendations well be welcomed.

For face overhauls, I just experimented with Beauties of Skyrim, Ethereal Elven Overhaul and KS Hairdos. This is a quick redesign of my current character:

I haven't touched any of the body mods like RUNP or Seraphim, the vanilla is nice enough so all I added was UNP Hands and Feet. For followers, I use Redesigned Females because Lydia just looks awesome now.

The highest rated lady mod is Adorable Females, although I haven't tested. For male characters, Realistic Male Faces and Redesigned Males are good picks imo, the latter changes a lot of the NPC followers.

Alright, thank you and I will consider these next time I use a non-Khajiit character. I never could find any good ones with it being exclusively female and making the body way too ridiculous, I am maybe one of the few people who hate slutty mods and armors, but Beauties of Skyrim and Ethereal Elven Overhaul and even UNP Hands and feet seem really great. I have actually found some mods that fight my character better since I tend to play as a Khajiit more often than any other race

No worries, and to be fair, I only installed and tested these today because your questions are pretty much my own too. New to me, this stuff, so not sure if those are the best or if there are better. I am quite pleased with the result and it's a relatively small change to my game - mostly a fresh coat of paint and a thousand new hairstyles to flick through :D

Speaking of hair, I think I once saw a khajiit manes mod but can't find it now. I did find these two which stand out, though: Better looking Khajiit and Khajiit Body Texture.

I rarely play as a cat, but plan on rolling another soon. If you find any good mods then please do flag them for me for future reference :)

For Khajiit the best mods I have found are Khajiit Mane, Better Looking Khajiit, More Khajiit Colors, Skyrim Fur Colors, JazzJR's Khajiit Body Textures, and Saerileth's Khajiit Hair. Those are probably my favorite ones for Khajiit and I haven't really looked into any for Nords, Imperials, and the other race since here lately I have only been playing Khajiit.

Also, I would like to ask what Graphic overhaul mods, if any, you are using like Skyland, SGO, SGO 2, SMI, etc?

Sweet, thanks for that kitty modlist! Does the fur mods allow for a rainbow-hued cat to be created? Now that I would need to experience! :D

I have so far totally noped on graphical overhauls. They scare me. Big, sweeping changes to my game that require testing and load order tweaking need to woo me first :D

    What would you recommend?

I don't know about the Rainbow colored though now a rainbow colored Khajiit high on Skooma sounds great now, lol.

I can't say for sure just yet, but I have been testing a lot of them lately, so i will let you know which ones to download and the load order.
