    A difference of degrees, indeed. I think here we're conflating Law with Order again to a small degree, but it's still good.

    From what I can tell, it’s all about how they approach a problem. Neutral good has it’s emphasis on THE GOOD, and while it would always be easier to work within the confines of the law to fix a problem, sometimes the law is complicit or officials corrupt, and thus can’t be fixed without a little disorderly conduct. A chaotic good person actively DISLIKES official channels and has no respect for them, so their first reaction to dong good may be something a little wild or illegal.

    I completely agree Merc, you put it very succinctly. NG wants Good over all else but won't do more harm than good to get there, while CG is willing to light a few fires to get what they want.
