Hi, I'm Michael Way. Some of you may know me from various communities as Mway1 or Mway474, but really I just like to be called Michael.

I have always had an extensive interest in Imperial lore, alongside that I have a passionate love of Renaissance Drama extending to many playwrights you've probably never heard of. At one point I was writing a journalistic account of an Imperial Festival of Lights taking place over the course of a couple of days in Midyear 3e 388. As part of this festival I had many nationalistic events take place in order to celebrate Nibenese culture, among these events were the brief mention of a couple of plays.

My work on the Festival stopped.

The image of an open-air Globe-esque theatre in the heart of the Empire, with a strong willed Alessia taking the stage wrapped in Ancestor silks refused to leave my mind. More and more scenes from the play formed in my head to the point at which it was proving prohibitive to my university work.

So, I started writing the ideas down. I never planned to write the play, after all using someone else's IP would mean little-to-no chance of financial gain, and plays are hefty tasks to write; however, the image never left my head.

And that is why I am here today, to use my skills as an English Literature graduand and as an Elder Scrolls fan to write this play. I have finally formalised the process and have 17 pages of notes already. I would like to record a video series dictating and detailing my creative process but have limited editing skills, any aid in this realm would be much appreciated.

    Who?

    - Alessia, first Emperor of Cyrodiil. Ex-slave.

    - Morihaus, demi-God winged man-bull. Son of Kyne.

    - Pelinal Whitestrake, the Star-Made Knight. Shezarrine.

    - Umaril the Unfeathered. Half Ayleid-Divine. Slavemaster King.

    What?

    - A play in the genre History.

    - A historical adaptation of Alessia's Rebellion.

    - Look up similar stories, myths, hero's journeys and histories i.e. Henry V.

    Where?

    - Circular Globe style theatre with a thrust stage.

    - Cyrodiil. Ayleid cities and Rebel camps.

    - Sard.

    - Imperial city.

    - Sancre Tor.

    - Others.

    When?

    - 3e 388. Just before the Imperial Simulacrum.

    - 1e 243. The Alessian Slave Rebllion.

    Why?

    - To make septims, as is the goal of all commercial theatre.

    - To inspire and evoke Imperial nationalism.

    - To stir-up racial tensions between men and elves. (As it is performed by the High Chancellor's Players, Tharn has ulterior motives.)
