"Is This Lore-Breaking or Not?": Tamriel Tales

Hey all, Saryn here with (hopefully) another helpful thread for all you writers out there. Basically, when I am writing and I come up with a really cool idea, I have to check to see if it makes sense in the lore of The Elder Scrolls, but it gets tedious sometimes looking up all the things every time.

So, this is what I've got for you. If you have a cool idea for a story, but are unsure if it would be lore-breaking to include, ask here about it, and we'll help you. If those of us here at The Tamriel Vault don't have an answer right away for you, then we will help you track down the answer from one of the site's Loremasters.

    Simple, right?

Don't be afraid to ask questions, people!

Can you soul trap a dragon? I assume you can, if the spell's strong enough, like any other animal or person.

I doubt you could put its soul in a normal soul gem. You'd probably need Azura's Star.

I was thinking something like the mantella soul gem.

Wouldn't the Dragonborn be a special 'tuned' soul gem, then?

I want to use fire spells but I'm a vampire. What do?

There is nothing that says you can't do that. I mean, look at it this way. Guns > People, but people still use guns.

In the same way, Fire > Vampires, but vampires could still use fire.

The only thing that really makes no sense is flame cloak, so I wouldn't use that particular spell.

Or fireballs.  Explode one too close to you and you'll burn yourself up.

I wonder what happens to those dragon souls when the dragon born dies?

Khajiit are known for being good at a lot of things, because they have many different forms. There is no reason why one can't wear heavy armor and use magic. In fact, magic is more a part of their culture than people think.
