    The Goblin

The Goblin is an outcast. He was thrown out of his stronghold, for being too weak to call himself an Orc.

So, the Goblin is an interesting build. It is made to be played on any difficulty, so it is quite viable. Because of the fact that the Goblin is extremely weak, he doesn't wear either light or heavy armor, his body simpely can't hold the weight. Any weapons except staves and daggers are also too encumbering for the frail structure of his body. Therefore he relies on his Conjuration skills to summon beings for him that will kill his enemies while he sits in the shadows, or tries to get in a sneaky-sneak attack. Placing runes and appyling poisons also is a essential part of the Goblins way of murdering anyone he wants to see removed from Nirns surface.

What makes this build hard to play, or at least challenging, is that we won't be putting any points into health. Read that again, because it is quite a painful sacrifice.

All of his points will be going into Magicka, so that you have an endless pool to summon beings or use other magical abilities.

Race: Orc, this is the race that can best represent a goblin-esque appereance. Dunmer and Bosmer can also kind of look like one but orcs are by far the best choice. High elf is a nice option as well because of the bonus magicka, but just does not look like a goblin.

    Stat allocation: ALL MAGICKA

Stone: Mage/Apprentice early game, Lord mid-late game, Ritual Stone for even more fun!

    Major skills: Conjuration, Sneak, Destruction

    Minor skills: Alchemy, Illusion, Enchanting

    Equipment

Headpiece - Shrouded Hood, Mourners Hat, Circlet (Fortify Alchemy, Fortify Magicka)

Chestpiece - Ragged Robes, Necromancers Robes, Shrouded Robes (Regenerate Magicka, Fortify Magicka)

Hands - Thalmor Gloves, Shrouded Wraps, Gloves (Fortify Alchemy, Fortify Magicka)

Feet - Ragged Boots, Fine Boots, Vampire Boots, Boots (Fortify Sneak, Resist Magic)

Ring - Enchanted Ring (Resist Magic, Fortify Alchemy)

Neck - Enchanted Necklace (Resist Magic, Fortify Alchemy), Necromancers Amulet

Weapon - Shiv (To fortify your summoned or raised abominations) Ebony Dagger (For sneak attacks)

Staff of Conjure Storm/Frost/Flame Atronach - These are awesome early game, as they are easy to obtain using the atronach forge and are able to summon atronachs extremely far away.

Staff of "Insert Destruction Spell here"  - Nice offensive Staff if you are out of Magicka (Early game, mid and late game your magicka pool will be so big it will rarely run out before combat ends.)

Azura's Star (Black Version) this is a nice help for the enchanting skill

The White Phial - Helps with Alchemy

    Combat.

This is where it all gets interesting. I played this build on Legendary so I quite a bit more passive that you would be say playing on adept or lower.

I would start, sneaking into a position where I could scout the area and see what I was up against. Then I would set up some runes and quicky after I would summon some Atronachs to take care of at least 1 enemy, which soon after death would be raised to serve me. I would then slash him with my shiv to buff him with my poisons, or if the enemy was a singular easy target, I would sneak up and eliminate him with a stab to the back with my Ebony Dagger.

If things got really hectic and bad, which early game they often do (All the more fun), I would buff my raised dead, and use my Destruction Runes to sweep the feet from under my enemies, or use my staff to widdle down their health. Sometimes if the enemies were close to death and I was out of Magicka I would slash their arms and torso untill they fell to the ground.

If I was lazy and just wanted to laugh at the helplessness my enemies would feel, I would just summon and raise whatever I wanted from afar, sitting in a corner sneakmode, untill all was dealt with.

    Conjuration

This is the easiest part of the Build. We use everything except Bound weapons, so go figure. Conjure whatever atronach you deem fit for the situation, and raise dead is of course a important part of the build.

    Sneak

We only perk this to a limited part. I did not go into the sneak multipliers, because I did not want my Goblin to be a masterfull assasin, because he isn't. He can hack a dagger into someone's back just fine, but to kill a hard enemy with a x30 is not the point of this build. I only went as far as Muffled Movement and Light Foot. It is quite a low priority so the first perk will therefore also not be maxed out, 2 or 3 points into Stealth is enough, we aren't invisible, just sneaky.

    Alchemy.

The poison I used to buff my zombies was a mixture of Blue Mountain Flower - Nightshade - Wheat.

This will apply a Damage Magicka Regen, Fortify Health and Restore Health effect, which would make them even more buff.

If I raised a Mage user (Bandits, Draugr or sometimes Forsworn) I would apply this poison.

Ectoplasm - River Betty - Briar Heart

This does Damage Health, Fortify Magicka, Restore Magicka. This made them cast spells longer, and even longer if you kept applying the poison.

Note: You cannot apply these poisons to either Draugr or Vampires, as these are immune to poison.

Of course you also make Restore Magicka and other types of potions to help yourself when needed!

Now to the Destruction part, because that needs a bit of explanation. I used Runes, because 1. They are great fun 2. Effective 3. Nice to set up before combat starts. I would place runes in a position enemies would run to as soon as I summoned my Atronachs. This would already lower their health before anything had actually happened, a nice power start to the battle.

Illusion is only used to get the Quiet Casting perk, this makes placing runes and summoning stuff a lot easier while sneaking to remain undetected. Use Muffle to powerlevel your way to 50, or go the all natural way of using fury, calm and fear. However. We don't use any illusion spells during combat. You can, but I chose to roll without it. I did however use Muffle even after 50, because I did not wear any piece of armor that carried the muffle enchantment.

    Enchanting

This is our source of extra power. First of all I want you to know that the enchantments I gave you aren't the best or whatever, I chose those because I liked the whole buffing raised zombies aspect, but if you want to use other enchantments to emphasize another aspect of the build, that is of course fine. I do suggest Resist Magic though, because you are so weak, if you get caught with a stray Flames spray or etc. it won't immediatly kill you, so that you have time to get away and heal yourself.

The reason I did not perk one-handed is because, as I said earlier, I don't mean to actually use the dagger as my main source of damage, it is just a means to an end.

    Factions -

    College of Winterhold

    Dark Brotherhood

    Dawnguard (I chose vampire side)

If you become a vampire, don't make it an essential part of your build. Use the power as an ultimate ability!

    Quests -

    Azura's Star

    Shalidor's Insight

    Discerning the Transmundane

    The White Phial

    Blood on the Ice

That wraps up the Goblin! I hope you enjoy this build! I recommend playing on a higher difficulty because it keeps it challenging. Low difficulties are a breeze, so Expert or higher is a good thing! (Legendary!!!)

    First to comment... woo hoo!

This looks like a lot of fun to play. I love a good glass cannon build, and mage glass cannons are some of my favorites. All magicka means getting hit hurts an awful lot, AND running away is more difficult due to your low stamina. Also, love that zombie minion poison buff :D

I noticed a huge gap in your text in the Enchanting section. For whatever reason, wrapping text around images sometimes gets a little funky. Because I'm part of the Build Restoration team, I have temporary editing privileges. I'd be more than willing to try to hammer that out for you if you like... let me know.

    Again, great build! :D

Hey Shinjin! Thanks for all the compliments! this is my second build so it is nice to hear that it's a good one :D if you want to fix the little glitch I'd appreciate it alot because whenever I try to fool around with it the image jumps all over the place, new to this kind of stuff.

Thanks again :D love your builds as well, matter of fact, just started to play one!

I was able to get rid of the space (I had to delete some spaces between words and that seemed to take care of things). Now, you mentioned that the image was bouncing around on you, so I don't know if it's placed where you want it. If you'd like it elsewhere and it's still giving you trouble, let me know and I'll see what I can do :D

That first picture seriously scared me so much, that I would never play this build, because I would think of that spawn of nightmares. It's a shame, because I really like the idea of conjuring Daedra and boosting them with poisons, while sticking to the shadows.

However, I can't help but wonder how fast-paced the combat is at different levels? and don't runes make noise when cast, even with quiet casting?

    wonderful build, really

The combat length depends on a few things. First of all the difficulty. If you play on a higher difficulty your own damage will do less, your summoned creatures however are unaffected by the damage nullifiers from difficulties. Second of all, what you choose to do. If you don't get yourself involved at all and just summon, the combat takes longer and will feel a bit lengthy (because it is) because you aren't in the heat of the moment yourself. But overal it is quite fast-paced. It also feels fast-paced because it can get quite chaotic with spells flung everywhere etc.

Runes are cast silently. The only sound they emit is when your enemy activates them.

And don't let the spooky goblin get the better of you! I recommend this build if you like Conjuration because it gives it a new element!!

Hopefully this will have answered your question :D

Yes it has. Maybe the runes are patched, because I once tried playing a mage/thief build using rune traps, but when the runes hit the ground, it notified the enemies someone was near.

I will try to sleep tonight, but can't make promises :P

    [/blockquot]

Sometimes enemies detect you anyways are because your sneak might be low, or the spell you use emits a form of light. Oakflesh for example illuminates you,so even with good sneaking they might see you, so when you cast runes make sure you are out of their Line of Sight or create enough distance between you and tje unlucky person wo is just about to have his feet swept from under him >:)

Really cool build and I have always loved the concept of a shadow caster type. Raise terrible minions from the dark. Great stuff.
