This discussion is to help people gather fresh ideas and information for new builds, as well as to answer queries about anything regarding the Character Building group.

    Feel free to ask questions!

    - Have a work in progress build that you'd like some feedback on? Post it in The Workshop. It is a group for builds and other content that are not yet complete, and the group regulars will be more than happy to offer any advice you might be looking for.

    - If you're after help with your build's roleplay, check out the Roleplaying Help Thread in the Roleplaying Group. The group is frequented regularly by the hosts and their fellow roleplayers, so your question will get an answer soon enough!

    - For information regarding your build's Lore, check out the Lore Group, or more specifically the Ask your lore questions here discussion.
If you have some questions about game mechanics (such as how a certain glitch or exploit works, is this ability effected by that perk, etc.), then take a look at the Tips and Tricks group. The Questions/Requests Discussion is the best place for your query, and it should be answered fairly quickly by one of the regulars!

    - For help sourcing art and screenshots, the Art Group has the Art Group Services Request Thread, which can be used for asking about perk spreads, banners, and more.

    - If you're looking for a cool armor combo for your character build, then check out Nelaf's Official Armor Combo Catalogue, which features screenshots of cool armor combos that different Skyrim Blog members have discovered.

This is NOT for asking what builds to play next, like 'What's a good thief build?' or 'Looking for a build that uses Dwarven Armor and Warhammers.' Those questions need to be asked in the Build Recommendations thread.

In that case you should probably delve into the restoration tree. Ward spells are great vs dragon-breath and healing can be extremly vital on a battlefield.

Hmmm. I was going to suggest Restoration, but that feels a bit out of place (plus you'll want something that will help you with ranged threats... like a hovering dragon ;D) I don't know how you feel about Alchemy, but I see that as something that could be extremely useful for a build like that. AND it seems in keeping with the character as well. If you think 2 crafting skills is a bit much, then I'd suggest taking archery as a way of making a well-rounded warrior. Don't know what your thoughts are for magic for this character, but Destruction would also make you dangerous from afar. Or Conjuration would let you summon flame atronachs (who do a pretty good job hitting flying dragons).

Btw... I STILL haven't been able to get myself to kill Paarthurnax xD

I might use restoration as a minor and maybe conjuration as a second minor skill cause I like flame atronarchs ... I was either gonna go 2 magicka,5 health and 3 stamina for it or since ill have 2 magic related minor skills I was thinking 3 magicka 4 health and 3 stamina but im not a 100% sure yet

I forgot about how well wards work against dragons... good point. I was still working on my reply when you first wrote this, but I find it interesting that our first thought was Restoration

I'd go with your last stat spread... those wards eat up a lot of magicka, Heavy Armor keeps you pretty resilient, and Restoration restores lost health pretty quickly.
