Well, with Crossworlds 2 looming over the head, I spent a few months crafting my new (Former) surprise build. Welcome, my friends, to...

The Minstrel of the Moon, Octavalia Philomernis was born to a Dunmer artist and archeologist, while her mother was a famed Altmer poet and court mage to the King and Queen of Firsthold. She was not always a werewolf you see. While on a stroll with her family, a feral werewolf attacked the young girl. They could not cure her, but she found solace in an underground group of vampires, werewolves, mortals, and other such beings her mother had been in contact with, known as the Order of the Sacred Night. They had rejected the vile aspects of what they were, instead pledging to defend man, mer, and beastfolk alike, and trained her to control her transformations . She fell in love with a fellow musician in the Order, but she vanished some time ago. Trained in the art of combat, and music, she set off to the land of Skyrim to find her love, where she was captured by an Imperial patrol.

Race: Altmer werewolf. Give her shoulder length black/dark brown hair, Highborn allows increased Magicka Regen once per day, have a starting bonus +50 bonus to Magicka and gain bonuses to Illusion, Enchanting, and Restoration.

Standing Stone: The Mage, then you'll want to grab either the Lord, or the Atronach, if you want more Physical/Magic defense, or straight up magical absorption. by 50%.

Major Skills: One-Handed, Illusion, Speech, Enchanting

    Minor Skills:  Restoration

Main Quests-Main Quest, Dawnguard, Companions, Ancestral Burial, Laid to Rest, Tel Mithryn Quests, March of the Dead, Bard’s College

    Gameplay

The character is a mix of a Bard, and an Acrobat. Start off with buffing your follower(s) with Courage/Rally. Utilize Fear to clear out some of the weaker enemies. Using potions to buff yourself, without the use of a perked Block skill, Alteration, or any armor perks, you’ll need to be light on your feet. Block or dodge, preferably dodge, your enemies attacks. Apply poisons to your blade to deal some extra damage.

The way this character fights will be using a glitch to dual wield block. With a dagger in one hand to “parry” attacks, you’ll fight when need be. But the brunt of damage should come from your followers. Buff them with Courage Spells, clear away weaker enemies with a well timed Fear or Fury spell. Let your followers do the majority of damage, and occasionally dip into combat to deal a quick slash or two. With dragons, or mages, youĺl want to hang back and buff your allies. Using Call Dragon or Summon Durnhevirr also helps during battles.

You should enchant any weapons and armor you find for either selling purposes, or for your followers. Note, not all enchantments work on followers. With ranged enemies, such as Dragons and Mages, it is best ot buff and heal youur follower, and let them to the brunt of the damage dealing. Using offensive Shouts such as Dragonrend or Call of Valor will aid in bringing the wyrm down.

Chop wood often, this will make sense in the Roleplay section.

Your main questline should be the Dawnguard. Live either in the Fort, or in Proudspire Manor.

Light Armor will be rarely used, and mostly it will only be the gauntlets, boots, and helmet to give a little more protection. I mainly used them in longer dungeons.

As you can guess, this character will be all about dodging attacks, and adventuring. She’ll want to explore ancient Nordic ruins, and ruined Dwemer cities. You should have a good follower to back you up, such as Mjoll, or Goldir.

    SKILLS

    Level50PerkSpreadforChrisDiokno3 (1).jpg

Enchanting-In order to boost not only your survivability, but also that of your follower, this also allows you to make some quick cash. Look out for Fortify Sneak, Banish, Paralyze, Damage Stamina, or Turn Undead for the easiest profits.

Restoration-Allowing one to do damage to Undead. Another, and the primary usage, is to heal your followers, undead or living.

Speech-Whether trading and haggiling with merchants, or talking her way out of a sticky situation, the Minstrel of the Moon uses her melodic voice to charm those around her to get her way.

One-Handed-Using the Order’s training, and that of her own self teaching, the Minstrel, while not as skilled as professional swordmasters, can hold her own if push comes to shove,

Illusion-With a combination of her beautiful visage, and her harmonious vocal cords, the Minstrel of the Moon has learned how to cause differing mental effects on her foes.

Light Armor-Despite favoring speed over encumbering protection, the Order trains each member in the art of wearing lighter armor.

Melody of Fear-Strumming a tune on her lute, the Minstrel bellows out songs of slaughter, and tales of terror. Calling forth her ally Durnheviir to her aid, this mix sends her foes fleeing.

(Dual Cast Fear Spell+Master of the Mind+Summon Durnheviir)

Moonlight Sonata-Letting out a furious howl, the Minstrel shifts into her beastial form. Her scent and howls summon forth her fellow Order members in the vicinity.

(Ring of Hircine+Dragon Aspect+Beast Mode+Totem of the Moon)

Fencer’s Parry-Quickly raising her parrying dagger, the Minstrel blocks an attack with both blades.

(Favoriting Dagger+Block+Equip Dagger via Favorites menu)

    ROLEPLAYING AS THE MINSTREL

    • Perform in Taverns often. When in a Tavern, sit in a chair, and wait for a few hours. Then, sell some firewood to the tavern owner as your payment.

    • NEVER touch a silver weapon, for it is harmful to undead and were-beings.

    • NEVER get married. You are here looking for your lost love, and are faithful to her.

    • Do not travel without your lute.

    THANKS AND INSPIRATION

Thank you to Lee Friskilis for the amazing Perk Spread, as well as Mirric the Loremonger for the gorgeous screenshot. If you haven’t guessed, the character was based off one of the awesome background ponies, Octavia Philarmonica, of Friendship is Magic!

Nice take on the Bard class. You can try using the Spectral Drums power for the powerful +50% stamina regen, and it fits the theme too. Waters of life is also a great Allmaker stone power. My only questions is the Lute listed in the equipment section. You can also RP tavern songs by blasting the occupants with calm and courage spells, which was something I once did. Great build overall, nice job!

    p.s. : lol yuri.

I actually forgot about that power, thanks. It was just randome lutes you can find scattered in homes, or in the Bard's College.

Great Build! I really like your Songs & Ballads. But I thought there would be more something like riding with Arvak instead of fast travel or horse-combat^^.
