Feature Submissions and Voting

    Next poll: October 28th

Good day, awwooo, and many blessings to you Vault Dwellers. This post serves two purposes: to explain the changes to the front page sections, "News" and "Features," and to give the run down on how you can all now play a part in deciding what content gets featured.

    News:

The News section of the front page will be updated with information concerning ongoing events, host and admin updates, site updates, ongoing polls, and the occasional big news story.

    Features:

This is the fun part. I will be running a poll every two weeks to let you all submit and vote on content that you would like to see featured. Here's how this will work:

    • - I will announce via the News section that the thread for Feature submissions is open -- it will remain open for 24 hours
    • - After submissions close, I will open a poll with all of the submissions for 24 hours
    • - The 6* pieces of content with the most votes are what will be featured for the next two weeks
    • - Any piece of content that was submitted but did not make the cut is automatically entered into the next round of voting. If it does not make the cut again, it will need to be submitted again
    • - You may only submit your own work once every two months
    • - All content from every group is eligible to be featured

*The number of available feature slots is subject to change -- the number of free slots will be clearly stated at the beginning of each new submission date.

All submissions and voting will be done on this page, so "Watch" it to get all the updates!

    Round 4 Poll Reults:

The winners for the five feature spots are:

    Channel Deeb by DB

Oblivion Build: The Priestess by MrCriminalScum

Shadow of the Druadachs blog by Edana

Skyrim Character Build WiP: The Auroran by The Long Chapper

Tales of a Quite Peculiar Cat blog by Meli

    Round 3:

There are only 5 slots available for features this week, so cast your votes carefully!

    (15) The CyberPunk

    (14) ESO: Clockwork City incoming!

    (11) Writers Interview: Spotted Fawn

    (10) The Curator Revamp

    (9) Roaring Thunder, Hissing Lightning

    (9) Exstirpatio Daedraum et alius Abominamentum

    (9) Creating Your Own Skeleton Army

And the results of the tie-breaker are:

    (7) Roaring Thunder, Hissing Lightning
    (4) Creating Your Own Skeleton Army
    (3) Exstirpatio Daedraum et alius Abominamentum

The winners will be featured in the coming weeks in descending order of the votes each has.

    Round 2:

The people have spoken! With 35 votes, the winners of Round 2 are:

    (10) Wasteland recipes Vol 01
    (8) From Nede to Reachmen
    (7) Event Build (FO4): The War Pig
    (7) The Grand Naming Guide: Nord
    (6) Mysterium Bestia: Imps
    (6) The Myth of the Missing Thirteenth

    Round 1:

The results are in! With a total of 36 votes, the winners of Round One are:

    (10) Nao's Chronicles of the Dovahkiin
    (8) Jynna's Who is Cicero
    (6) Amornar's Mysterium Bestia: Mammoths
    (6) The Lorc of Flowers' Mysterium Bestia: Goblins - A Research Log
    (*) Teineeva's Modder's Log - Telvanni bug musk & other frivolities
(*) GailOlm's Mysterium Bestia: Blue Butterfly

    *(8) Paws' Moon Bishop
*(6) Paws' Character Build: The Aspirant

Paws exchanged his prize with the two marked in asterisks

Congratulations to all of our winners! Your features will be up soon and claim the front page as their own for two weeks. As a reminder -- all content that was nominated this week that did not win is automatically entered into the next round of voting, so if your work didn't make it this time, you have more opportunities! Many thanks to all who participated -- I'll see you all again in two weeks to showcase even more amazing content.

Bah alrighty then. To spare myself a no doubt gruesome death I'll recommend a few things, one from a group I host and one that isn't and neither of them are mine. First is Tieneeva's Modders Log - Telvanni Bug Musk and other Frivolities because it's a really interesting read that features some mods that I hadn't even heard of (and I've heard of many mods) and the other really cool piece of content is Nao's Chronicles of the Dovahkiin ToC which is just awesome.

    GOOD.

    I mean thank you.

You have earned non-death. Just think of this as a free exposure for all the cool shit you like. Support your artists!

Can I submit anything from the Mysterium Bestia event?

I know the event itself was featured, but there are some real gems here to feature individually. Check out Amo's mammoths for a well-written and humerous article on all things big and furry, Gail's Butterflies are a work of art, Fawn's Ice Wraiths raises clever questions, Manatee's Imps is a great example of having fun with lore, and Karver's explores goblins and the stupidity of the Aldmeri creation myths.

The beauty of them is that none are heavy lore, just in-universe takes on the chosen topic. It's writing and stories just with a lore theme. Accessible.

Could've sworn there was a limited on only two things...Fear me. And yes, everything I link is something I'm voting for. Ah actually...how are we doing the polls if we can only get upto 4 options for them? Is it just an offline poll rather than a site one or do you have special Admin Polls?

The Saga of Scales is a shorter chapter story by Armonar that is a really fun read with different points of view and a really cool battle scene at the of the latest chapter.

Sotek's recently started an Aela the Huntress build which is told in-character and should most certainly be checked out.

I'm just going to throw all of Phil's more recent Workshop content up there. His Ugolin Profile, Aspirant and Moon Bishop are all really awesome pieces of work that should be read and enjoyed (and commented on and liked).

And finally, I just got caught up with Spotted Fawn's Legends of the Skaal so I'd love to recommend it to anyone that hasn't read it.

Yeah, that'll do for this round. I'll just hold the others for the upcoming rounds :D But yeah, this isn't even me getting into old content yet (and I've got...two full weeks of other newer content to recommend).

    >.> Blast, should've thought of that one. We had some really cool works from some new/er builders in that Event, and all of the Modder's Logs were really awesome (though I think that Gnewna had the best name by far)...Thanks Phil, got no idea how I'm supposed to vote in the poll now :P

Ssshhh. I changed my my mind on that at the last second. I want to see how this works when there's  no numerical submission restrictions. I might have to draw this out one more day or two to let people familiarize themselves with the content being submitted.

I wish we had special admin polls. Nah, it'll be offsite if I can't embed one directly into the OP. And feel free to submit as you please, but people are going to have to vote on these, so do keep it reasonable. I'll also be watching the relationship between submitters and winners. This is really something I'd love for everyone who can click a button to get in on, so I'm going to do what I can to make sure the most people get a say. If that means Vote or Die, then Vote or Die it is.

I would like to nominate Ragin's War Pig Fallout 4 Build simply because it is a build based on Sabbath. What else is there to say.
