I have to ask,  why not scout? And why so little points in dex?

The build IS titled The Scoundrel....

^This. As for the dexterity, I mostly boosted it via equipment.

Looking for more reasoning than a general theme.

Scoundrel provides the most skill points, everything as a class skill when paired with Consular, and the Sneak Attack feats, all of which are important to the build, plus some other boosts.

Okay that makes sense, forgive me if I appeared rude, was frustrated at the time. Anyways, why the little dex? I'm playing on Android so thing might be different on pc, but with only 12 dex I'm hitting my my shots like 1 every 10 times. Thanks for getting back to me Albino.

Nah, you didn't seem rude. Like I said, I boosted my Dexterity a good bit via equipment so it'll eventually hit a good level. Anyway, assuming you aren't dual-wielding (which would definitely kill your accuracy), you're probably just getting unlucky. Granted, my accuracy wasn't stellar either (in the earlygame, at least), but I was able to hit more than once every ten shots. If you want, you can start shooting enemies point-blank, which greatly increases your accuracy, but it does the same to theirs as well, so I don't recommend it. If you're really having trouble then just bring a party member or two along; I had to do the same thing during some parts of the game.

Hmm, I've never really used the Critical Strike/Sniper Shot feats much.  Mechanics-wise, I think they're the weakest statistically for many characters, depending on build of course? https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/516675-star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic/65410949 I always really liked the visual aesthetic of that holographic scope thingy when Mission used it, though.  Never thought of making an Int-based gunner to play around with.  Does the stun from the snipe actually work that well into the endgame, or is it mostly nice for the critical threat range?

Do you think a Sith Sniper sort of build using sneak attacks and criticals would be better with blaster rifles or heavy repeaters?  Bearing in mind that I've got Yavin Station, but that's one more feat to spend for the BFG.  I want something a little more focused on precision and single target attacks than this build.  I could just use pistols for the +3 Dueling AB, but doesn't the Baragwin HR have something disgusting like 26 mean damage at full upgrade?

Sorry I'm late responding to this.

While it always depends on build, generally speaking, the melee feats are, in order of effectiveness, Power Attack > Flurry > Critical Strike for your own character. With the ranged feats, it instead goes Rapid Shot > Sniper Shot > Power Blast due to a quirk (or glitch, perhaps?) with Power Blast.

It's been years since I've played this build, but as I recall, provided that you have a high Intelligence build like this one, the stun from Sniper Shot can be effective into lategame.

Honestly, you're probably better off with the Baragwin heavy weapons compared to blaster rifles simply because of how much stronger they are compared to every other ranged weapon in the game.
