Greetings, everypony, and welcome to my third and final build for the Radio Stars  FCB Event! Using a total of four different combat styles, and a rather devil may care attitude, this build was one of my most fun to play. Inspired by the Yakuza, or Like a Dragon video game series as its known as in its native Japan, primarily by the Mad Dog of Kamurocho known as Goro Majima, welcome to....

    Receive You-The SubType

    maxresdefault (1).jpg

You had always been a part of the criminal underworld. You had practically been born into it. The head of your Clan, Saito Shimano had been like a father to you. Due to your rather....eccentric personality, and your dog-like loyalty had earned you the nickname “The Mad Dog”.

However, while planning a hit on a rival clan leader, one of your Clan’s lieutenants, a man by the name of Ueno Shibata had cut a deal with the rival leader, and in an attempt to stop you from going, beat you to near death, gouged out one of your eyes.

In an attempt to atone for your dishonor, you were sent to the United States, to help out a fledgling Family within the Clan who had taken roots in Boston. You started up a successful cabaret club to earn some money for the Clan on the side. However, only two years in, you were given a new hit contract. Your deader was a blind rookie lawyer by the name of Nora Blackwood. However, upon chatting with her in order to learn more about her, you slowly lost the heart to kill her, and eventually fell in love with your target.

The rest, as they say, is post-apocalyptic history....

    Character Creation

Holy crap do I love this guy, especially his theme, which is one of the only character themes I know that’s remixed throughout each game in a series. If you wanna look the part, you’ll want Jet Black hair, the Colonial Hairstyle, and for facial hair, either the Hard Road or Mephistopheles will do. Give him Steel or Amber eyes.

    Gameplay

Now this character’s gear will be fairly simple to get. What you’ll need is a Tuxedo, which at least two can be found in Vault 114 when you go to rescue Nick Valentine, one from a little storage room near the entrance/exit, which you reach when you’re heading there with Nick, it has some Pre-War money and some other baubles, or from “Skinny” Malone himself.

In your early game, some Knuckles, a Switchblade, a Double Barrel-Shotgun, and any Baseball Bat will do. By endgame, you’ll want to switch these out for Pickman’s Blade, renamed The Demon’s Fang, your old knuckles, but with the Puncturing modification, any Baseball Bat with the Barbed mod and Aluminum paint job, and finally, the unique Combat Shotgun you can grab from the Libertania, Le Fusil Terribles.

Your combat will be broken down into different “stances” which are....

Slugger - Using your Basebat and a few chems and alcoholic, this will be a bit more tanky of a playstyle, using Power Attacks and continuous attacks to bludgeon your enemies down.

Thug - Your unarmed playstyle. Using the Rooted perk, alongside Pyscho based chems, this one will be a sort of boxer type style. Ergo, using your knuckles, try and dance around your opponent, like some kinda Fallout-version of Mohammad Ali. Hit them once or twice, move away, wait for them to attack, then hit them after their animation ends.

The Mad Dancer - Using The Demon’s Fang, alongside chems like Pyschojet and Overdrive, this was one of the most wild ones out there. With the Very Fast swing speed of a Combat Knife, the bleeding effect of Pickman’s Blade, especially with a serrated or stealth blade, and Chems, plus the Blitz perk, chances are most of your enemies will be sliced and diced quicker than a Slapchop chops up veggies.

If you’re wondering why I didn’t include Le Fusil Terribles, or The Terrible Gun in English, as a Stance, it’s due to the fact it was mainly used to hit mounted turrets and the like, enemies that aren’t so easily bested via melee.

Some of my favorite moments was getting my opponents low on health, their limbs at 0% health, then finishing them off with a killcam attack..

Faction wise, I sided with the Operators and Disciples in the Nuka-World DLC. However if you, as I did myself, feel an urge to claim Nuka World for yourself, without the threat of these other gangs stabbing you in your sleep, then feel free to purge Nuka World at a later date and time of all Raiders. If you do this, then side with the Railroad, as they’re the most “underground”, well, second to the Institute, in terms of organizations.

    Recommended Mods

While the range of mods is limited on PS4, there are a few I’ve found on the web and Bethesda that could help get in the feel of this character.

Playable Gage's Eyepatch-Like the title says, it adds a playable variant of Gage’s Eyepatch, that you can craft in the chemistry workbench. On PS4, searching “Eyepatch” will lead you to a mod which I used which, if memory serves, was called Remove Gage’s Eyepatch, or the like, allowing you to take it off him.

Yakuza Tattoos MALE-A simple mod that adds Yakuza style tattoos you can apply to your character.

Ka-Bar Knife and Sword-While it might not be an exact replica of the Demon’s Fange, this nice Ka-Bar knife serves the job of a tanto well.

    Roleplay

    • While you are a tad bit....eccentric, you’re still a somewhat decent guy at heart. Try and talk your way out of problems, but you won’t back down from a fight if someone becomes hostile.

    • Try and keep your settler’s spirits high, especially after rebuilding the cabaret club.

Alright there we go, did I miss anything? I did notice that the S.P.E.C.I.A.L is missing from the Google Doc but I don't know if that's because your getting a spread or something, but yeah I think I got everything you asked for.

    Thanks Deebs

Not a problem Chris-O, I like the build by the way. I hadn't mentioned it before and I don't know all that much about either the origin of the character or the actual specifics of the build but the presentation is solid, it's well-written and the character does really come through in your writing here. It probably ranks up there as one of my favourite builds of yours Chris.
