WiP FO4 Build: Spaghetti McFetti (ON HOLD)

  • September 4, 2017

This is my third attempt at finishing this build, so I can call it whatever the hell I want.

Welcome to Johnny/Chimera/Spaghetti McFetti for what is hopefully my last visit to the Workshop with this build.

Now I know you're rolling your eyes and thinking, "Oh god, Legion is trying again to finish something," so I'll make you a bet. Anyone who thinks I won't finish it this time, raise your hand. In the event that I do not finish, I will make you a badge that says, "Your name here: 1 Legion: 0". Or, "I proved Legion wrong." Or something special anyway.

No one in power deserves to be comfortable for long

Note: this spread is really really out of date because I wasn't paying attention.

The way the Institute deals with folks in the Commonwealth – I tell ya, I’d have put a bullet through the person in charge had I gotten the chance. But knowing that Johnny put one through him sure helps me sleep at night. And here I thought a good night’s rest was as likely as finding the Institute, but I’m happy to say I’m wrong on both counts.

I’ve seen a lot of tough folk come through Goodneighbor; and most even made it out alive. But I’ve never seen someone drop bodies like Johnny. I don’t remember if I was high, but that’s about all that can explain how he dropped eight guys with six shots. No way anyone is that good. That’s what I kept telling myself until I saw him do it again, and I was passably sober at that point.

You’d think he was a simple man just by looking at him. Suppose that’s to his advantage, ‘cause if you looked away at the wrong time, pop! You’re dead, your friends are dead, and he’s already reloaded. He’s a good man, though. Never killed anyone who didn’t deserve it. Hell, he and I joined the Railroad together which is how he got into the Institute in the first place. Even the Minutemen recognized him, made him General and everything. They didn’t give him a hat, so I let him try on mine. He looked good, very regal. But there can only be one Hancock.

    What was Johnny doing here?

Hah. Now that’s a story. Charlie – two more.

Do you know how I met Johnny? Man knows how to establish dominance. Killed a two-bit hustler named Finn who’d been robbing newcomers with
some insurance scam. Sure didn’t fool him! Ain’t ever seen such a low tolerance for bullshit. Even Fahrenheit likes him, and she doesn’t like shit. He was made for Goodneighbor. Stuck around long enough to almost rob me blind, kill Bobbi, help Daisy, and fetch us a new beer machine. A robot! It was an easy choice when he asked me to join him. Got too comfortable, complacent with my mayorly duties.

Only once we hit the road did he let me in on his big mission. Turns out he’s a collector of rare and powerful guns. Named his .44 “Chimera” ‘cause it’s built outta the parts of other guns that used to belong to some pretty mean sons a’ bitches. Used to be, until Johnny came along and shot ‘em all dead. Guess he hadn’t had his fill since he came here looking for three more. And boy, there were some mean sons a’ bitches carrying the guns he wanted.

Did he really build a gun out of scrap parts?

Oh, they weren’t scrap. But I suppose it was looking pretty old. Guess that explains why he wanted a new one.

    Who did he go after?

An Institute merc named Kellogg who apparently helped steal a baby. Sick fuck. Johnny made short work of him and his synths. Second was the famed crime boss, Eddie Winter. Bastard survived the bombs by going ghoul! Still had his piece on him too, locked deep deep away in an underground bunker. Had to work with that Diamond City detective Nick. Only synth worth his salt in the whole damn Commonwealth. Third one was a Mirelurk Queen. He didn’t have to – the gun was unguarded. He just wanted to. But that’s Johnny.

    II.

    III.

Quests: Shoot Shaun in the face

    Companion: Hancock & Nick

    Weapons: .44 magnum, sawed-off shotgun, Wastelander's Friend

    Tactics:

    - Turtle in tight spaces with the sawed off when escaping
    - Get what sneak attacks you can -- this build cannot and will not use suppressors
    - Wastelander's Friend is the new Dart Gun -- use it against charging enemies. Especially effective against ferals

As soon as I saw the title, I instantly began to play The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly theme in my head. Also, as for the bet, I have faith that you can finish this build :)

New backstory added. I've decided to present Johnny's build from the pov of Hancock

Thanks Noodles! The coat flipped out and I got a cool screenshot from it.

Update: Experimenting with showing gameplay and roleplay through story-telling. Story expanded. Will add a clear quest list.

Because I accidentally lost 30 levels of progress and must start over, the timeline on this build has been extended quite a bit

Thanks! It's been a bit of a struggle trying to nail down an aesthetic, but I think I've decided on going with the orange and black with texture to come
