I have put Urag on hold for a wee spell, while I pursue a project of interest to me. His save file is preserved, his mod list, he's chill. I will come back to him.

I am going to conduct an experiment with Urag this weekend. If it works, I will be able to ditch alchemy completely and turn this into a non-crafting build. A potentially very exciting development in his journey.

Haha, have still not conducted my experiment. I should really do that this weekend. Also I am not liking Neverwinter. It is okay, but meh, so I will go font-shopping.

You all have nooooo idea how freaking picky I am. Well, lol, ask Karver, I make him crazy with my pickiness sometimes.

On the positive, Urag now goes back up to top priority on my ever-growing "build queue" :P

Great concept and build Lissette, Urag is in the list of my favourite NPCs in Skyrim. The art added in the build thus far is also great!

Something else, I once saw in a discussion that Morrowloot is on the dangerous side of mods because it is changing the leveled lists or something like that. I 'm not sure about the credibility of this just thought to mention it since you 're using it. Also it was nice you mentioned Nordic Cooking looks like it would go well with my Skeleton Archer.

I don't think changing the leveled lists will cause that many problems unless it conflicts with another mod which I think only happens when it is done without the use of scripts, if anything it will be the scripts contained within the mod which really only become a problem when you try and uninstall it half way through a playthrough like any other mod. I've been using it for a couple of months and haven't run into any problems with it, the discussion you saw might have just been an isolated thing or a problem with an older version of the mod. Also since Lis is playing this on SE I think she's using Morrowloot Ultimate which is slightly different from the original Morrowloot, I might be wrong and she's just using Morrowloot we'll have to wait until she responds to find out.

Yes, using Morrowloot Ultimate. I this build really only needs that perenial restart to test something that I keep putting off. Another thing after I move.

I actually did the promised experiment and guess what? It worked. This has resulted in a very interesting skill refinement and now the backstory has gotten unorthodox.

What was the experiment, Liss? I didn't go through the whole host of comments but was it just dumping Alchemy or was there a replacement there as well? Either way, build's looking really good, I will say that I haven't checked in nearly enough so I can't quite remember what is new and what isn't but it all looks good regardless :D

There is a glitch I noticed in a patched game where summons on a staff fail with the atronach stone instead of conjured summons failing with the atronach stone in an unpatched game. So instead of a summon, you get the magicka. I wanted to do a controlled experiment with only the patches installed. So I did and the staff glitch worked running True Atronach. Why did I want this?

I really wanted to avoid crafting in any form with this build

For me, and this could just be Straag talking, but Urag has secrets and with this glitch, I've given him some dark, yet redemptive roleplay and backstory (Thanks Teineeva and Karver for lore helps) which really makes him who he is.

It is also a cool and terrifying way to replenish magicka, since he doesn't have any magicka regen due to the True Atronach glitch. Especially early in the game when soul gems for recharging staves are not so plentiful. Either the patches or cutting room floor gives you a staff of storm atronach early in the game, some guy is trying to kill trolls and dies on your way back from saarthal. Urag can also just make the staff at the atronach forge. The one for the flame atronach is very easy to make.

In addition, Alteration becomes less important, really for the spell absorb perk, bringing his spell absorb up to 80%, which also effects those staff summons. See in a patched game, the conjured summons are not effected, just staff summons, which is weird, but potentially very cool for this build.

I am playtesting him (the final time) now. He's currently at level 9. Wanted to streamline his quests too, avoid bounties and that sort of thing. Avoiding being dragonborn with Skyrim Unbound. Keep him strictly a college, book, and artifact finding Orc.

Debating now whether or not to even bother perking magic resistance. I may go a different route. I think magic resist and spell absorb is overkill, I want to keep things dangerous. All points so far have been put to health, and I'll keep doing that for his redemptive Equilibrium arc.

His modlist got messed up, so restarting him. Knowing what I know now, I will be adding Illusion for fear spells and possibly speech if I am not satisfied. This is an Orc who can intimidate. I am also ditching one-handed, any crafting, and the use of potions. Something to have to do with his past.

He's back and he's going to be incredible. After over a year in the workshop, the time is right to close my 2017 build year with a berserker bang.

I learned from Arkved, the Sting of Oegnithr, and of keeping builds economical and will be dropping sneak as a perked skill. This is an Orc, he will f*** you up to your face, not skulk in the shadows. So Archery, Conjuration, Alteration, and Illusion. Vokun, here I come, a build designed just for you. :D A no magicka regenerating badass of awesome, who sucks spells into his body and spits them out, who'd just as much smack you with a bow as shoot you with it, all while his Atronachs tear you apart as your run away in terror.

    Don't f*** with librarians. Just. Don't.
