Welcome, Classics players, Caesar and Medieval here gladly announcing two new sections for the TES Classics Group that we hope will generate a large variety of content over time!

We’ve been planning these new sections over the past few weeks, and with help from the recent polls, we now know what content our members would like to see. To recap the results, last week we posted two polls asking what content people would like to see, with one poll focusing on what game people would like more content for, with the winner being TES VI: Oblivion, and TES III: Morrowind in second place. Though those two games will be our primary focus for new content, that also doesn’t mean the other games won’t receive anything new in the future, either!

The second poll was for what new sections (content) people would prefer to see, with the options being Fan Theories, in-game Comparisons, or general discussions. The winner here was Fan Theories, with Comparisons being runner-up. The two new sections (as well as links to their discussions) are explained in detail below.

This introduction will also serve as a table of contents (or T.o.C.) where you will find links to all discussions for each section. New content for these sections will be posted weekly, so stay tuned!

     Fan Theories T.o.C

This section revolves around theories (not necessarily out-right facts) about in-game features present in the Classic games. TES games are all very immersive, and every character (NPC), object, item, weapon, armor, book, note, etc., was put in the game for some reason. Even items without an apparent purpose could serve as a good discussion, for people to share their thoughts on.

For this section we’ll provide facts for one game element (for example, a specific character), and make a brief introduction of that item/character, and provide some “suggested” theories, basically describing the possible contexts of why such character (in this case) is involved or surrounded by such elements. The idea is for readers to participate in these discussions by talking about such theories, as well as sharing any of your own headcanon related to the topic!

    COMPARISONS T.o.C

This section is all about comparing TES Classic games in terms of gameplay and mechanics, such as stats, skills, spells, and other in-game features, like how some artifacts and equipment have changed throughout the games. Discussions will be made about certain elements of TES Classics games, and will be described and presented as a comparison to other games; The idea of these discussions is to talk about which you consider best and why. All TES games have their own unique stuff, and here you’ll be able to share your opinions on your favorite aspects of the Classic games.

    Coming Soon!

This looks awesome, guys. Will take some time to post something I've been thinking about for a long time. I've always thought that if there was a canon to TES games, would the Nerevarine faked his departure to Akavir and instead became the Champion of Cyrodiil because of how easily you can survive the Mythic Dawn ambush in Oblivion. Know, I know that part of the game is a tutorial, but still, a nameless prisoner manages to kill several of the MD team sent to kill the Emperor? Highly unlikely for some random dude. But for someone that single handedly defeated the Tribunal, easy.

Very good theory there, Delta, and something I've ever really put much thought into.

It's always bothered me that the Nerevarine just up and left for some far-off land when there was still so much in Tamriel that could have been done, and that explanation's probably the most likely I've heard.

Glad you like ti, Caesar. It will take me a few days to create an article. There is a lot of articles online that show how the two (or one) can be connected. The first and most important thing is the very short time span between the two games.
