Try asking in the Character Building Help Desk.

hey, I was thinking on making a D&D based character like a Eldritch sword-mage but I want to wear heavy armor and use great-swords it that possible?

Does ancient knowledge require you to wear a helmet to get the boost?

@Teccam Thank you and apologies for my misplaced post :p I have been speaking with Raidriar, and I've gotten a small amount of headway into it. If you'd like to see what little I've learned, look into (not sure how to tag this in?) The Twilight Warden by Raidriar. We've been discussing it in the comments section. I'm planning to experiment more soon. So far I've seen the mage, thief and atronach together, as well as the mage, atronach, and lord stone.

@Ylva, welcome to the group. Mechanical question like that one belong in the Questions/Requests thread for future reference.

I don't know the full details of that trick; I believe Radriar was trying to nail down the mechanics but I don't know if he ever did. I believe to get more than two stones, one of them has to be a guardian stone, and I think that one has to be in the Aetherial Crown when you select your other stone. I'm not really sure though, I've never looked into it, and only experienced it randomly a couple times.

So I have been unable to find a post about the subject, and I think this is the correct place to ask about it.

It seems its possible to stack at least three standing stones, and I've heard of up to four on UESP. I've done a little experimenting myself and can see that the first three are definitely true. Anyone with further information in the subject?

@Deathclaw @Lawrence Cooper the necromage perk will affect any enchants being used by the player and against the player, and spells being used against the player. This is changed if you use the unofficial patch though
