Did some scrolling on youtube and saw this. It's fricking amazing. Looks like we'll finaly get a new and fresh AC game. I'm so hyped about this I could burst. What do you think of the new Assassin's Creed game?

    ER MER GERDDDDD!

I just watched the gameplay trailer for this (which you can find here), and it looks amazing. It basically looks like an AC3 sequel in terms of mechanics, but massively improved with a setting I can actually get into. The bow in AC3 was one of my favourite things and it's massvely improved here (and you can get upgrades for it), you now have an eagle chum who can scout ahead, which sounds similar to the AC3 DLC which I never got. Boat combat seems to be making a comeback, which I have mixed feelings about but at worst its just a feature I won't use (and at best it'll be an improvement of Black Flag, the meachanics of which I loved eventhough I'm not really invested into the pirate setting).

The game looks gorgeous, I'm in love with the setting, it'd only be better if it was Ancient Greece or Rome, I love classical stuff, and the character looks badass.

I very, very rarely get excited about games, but this looks incredible.

By god it looks absolutely stunning (though I am 50% sure that it's going to be slightly worse than it looks there).

I think this is the best decision they could've made, I think that the games consistantly got slightly worse the futher into the future they got (with the exception of Black Flag, but that was just the boat combat). The decision to go backwards to Ancient Egypt is an awesome one, we're not going to have to deal with guns (which admit it got very boring to fight against) or cannons or anything ridiculous like that. On top of that we're no doubt going to get some awesome puzzles with the pyramids, and holy shit the landscapes are going to be awesome.

I am officialy pumped and I haven't been excited for an AC game since 3 (Black Flag didn't originally interest me and I didn't buy it until it was half price). Just, yes. I'm sold on everything in this

I'm going to attempt to hold back any excitement, I have a bad history of overhyping AC. My only remarks for now are...holy shit that bow looks awesome

Yeah! We already got a solid story in Rome with killing Caesar. And feudal Japan sounds awesome. Maybe Sengoku Jidai and the rise of the Tokugawa shogunate, the last feudal period of Japanese history.

It was mentioned in AC 2 when you visit the statues under the Auditore villa. One of them is about a Roman assassin that killed Caesar. There was also a statue for an assassin that killed Cleopatra. AC: Origins was teased back in 2009. :)

When did an Assassin kill Caesar? He was stabbed 36 times by Marcus Brutus and 35 other Senetaros, who hated them for having a private Army and making Rome a Dictatorship basically, I mean really. Cleopatra's empire was crushed by Octavian and the Roman Empire because she and Marcus Antonius were seeing each other while Marcus was married to Octavian's sister, and even then she and he committed suicide. Maybe I am just being picky, but come on at least try to be accurate.

While this game looks good and I love the setting, I doubt it will any different than any other AC games with bugs, glitches, and historical inaccuracies. I have never been a fan of the AC games due to many reasons, but I can understand why people like them, but they aren't for me. So maybe this one will be different, but I doubt it.

In the assassins creed universe, Marcus Brutus and the senators were all assassins, even Caesar helped them, until greed and power dragged him towards the Templars.

This sums up my thoughts and feelings towards that.

Huh, might have to check that out before Origins drops, cheers Delta!

I am pretty hyped for this game. I've seen a lot of people say that it looks like another Assassins Creed but it actually really doesn't, it's just hard to recognise that when just watching the trailer.

Huge open world map the size of actual Egypt.

Bloodborne style combat instead of Batman style.

Skyrim style compass instead of a minimap.

Witcher style quest logs you can pick up and drop whenever you want.

A selection of mounts like horses, camels and chariots.

Different weapons that have different traits.

Skill tree that allows you to specialise as either a Warrior, Ranger or Seer.

Tombs and ruins hidden out in the world to explore and find treasure.

Giant freaking snakes implying they are going to have a bit more mysticism other than the Precursors and Pieces of Eden.

Also if you guys like Greece and Rome, Assassins Creed Origins takes place during the Ptolemaic Era so we will have the Hellenic culture clash with the Egyptians.

I have to say, just by watching the trailers, I can tell AC: Origins is very VERY different than previous AC titles. They're going for a different approach on almost every aspect of the game. The one thing I like about the game was the implementation of a leveling system. Now you can't just go all gung-ho on every enemy you come across.

Also it sets in Ancient Egypt. I don't know what could be more mystical than Ancient Egypt.

I'm insanely hyped for this game, and that's coming from someone who has played and beat every single entry of the franchise so far. I have always wanted Assassin's Creed to formally enter the RPG genre, and Unity and Syndicate both half way did this. Origins is the make or break for this series' future, and going to RPG route is nothing short of brilliant. And the setting is perfect, I would love to see the Brotherhood be created and compare it's ideology before Altair took over.

    Damn I'm excited.

After investigating some more the classes seem a bit... meh. I guess I was just too hyped about it but nothing stands out as being amazing. The fighty bloke can hit stuff hard, the shooty bloke can shoot good, and the Seer seems to revolve around making stuff a tiny bit more convenient.

It's still Assassin's Creed, not some Skyrim rival. You have to be a fan of the stealth genre in general. Think like the Witcher 3; an RPG that is still limited in character creation aspects.

Yeah, it's a limited RPG. In the Witcher series, you can't create another character, because you're roleplaying as Geralt, the monster hunter. It will probably be the same here. You are roleplaying an assassin.
